I. OVERVIEW:

Environmental health mainly focuses on preventing diseases, which is more cost-effective


than curing and treating diseases. Environmental sanitation study of all factors in man’s
physical environment, which may exercise a deterious effect on his health well-being and
survival. Major environmental health and sanitation programs consist of health and
sanitation, water supply sanitation program, proper excreta and sewage disposal program,
food sanitation program, hospital waste management program and the program on health
risk minimization due to environmental pollution.

II. OBJECTIVES:

The activity aims to:

 Provide updates on the Environmental Health and Sanitation Programs


 Orient the health workers on the reporting forms to be use for the EHS programs for
precise and quality data gathering
 Encourage community empowerment thru health education and awareness programs

III. METHODOLOGY:

1. Overview of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Programs


2. Updates on the Dengue Cases and plan of actions
3. Orientation on the Grade 2- basic sanitation, the next level of ZOD
4. Orientation on the EHS reporting forms on barangay level
5. Open Forum
