Section of Solid

The document describes the geometric representation of various solids, including a cone and a pentagonal prism, as they are cut by section planes. It provides instructions for drawing front views, sectional top views, and true shapes of sections for these solids. The document emphasizes the importance of accurately locating section planes and projecting points to illustrate the cuts made on the solids.

A cone of diameter 60 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP on one of its

generators. A section plane whose VT is parallel to HP and 15 mm above HP,

cuts the solid removing the top portion. Draw the front view and sectional top
view of the solid.
