Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Respected teachers, dear students, and honored guests,

Incorporating Islamic Values into Our Daily Lives at Canadian Maple International
School. As a school that values both academic excellence and moral development, we
have a unique opportunity to nurture not only the minds of our students but also their
hearts and souls.
Islam is not just a religion; it is a way of life. It teaches us kindness, compassion,
discipline, and gratitude. By integrating Islamic values into our daily routines, we can
create an environment where faith and learning go hand in hand. Let me share with you
some of the ways we can achieve this.
1. Exchange of Salam and Smile
We begin with the simplest yet most powerful act: the exchange of Salam and a smile.
When we greet each other with “Assalamu Alaikum,” we are spreading peace,
blessings, and safety. A smile, as our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) taught us, is an act of charity. Let us make this a daily habit, creating a culture of
warmth and respect in our school.
2. Daily Assembly with Islamic Values
By incorporating Masnoon Dua, Surah recitation, and the recitation of Asma ul
Husna, we start our day with mindfulness and gratitude. The national anthem reminds
us of our duties as citizens, while short speeches from teachers and students inspire us
to be better individuals.
3. Morning Message in Class
Every morning, our teachers share a short Islamic message or Hadith with the class.
These messages serve as gentle reminders of our faith and values, helping us navigate
our day with purpose and integrity.
4. Practicing Sunnah and Masnoon Dua
Islam teaches us to remember Allah in every action. By practicing Masnoon Dua and
sunnah—whether it’s before eating, drinking water, entering and exiting washroom, and
even climbing the stairs—we turn everyday activities into acts of worship. These small
but meaningful habits help us stay connected to Allah throughout the day and
guarantees huge rewards for hereafter.
5. Zuhr Salah in Jamat
Prayer is the cornerstone of our faith. It is the most important compulsory act after
taking Shahadah. By organizing Zuhr Salah in congregation after classes together
reminds us that we are part of a larger community, bound by faith and brotherhood.
6. Art and Craft Activities
Creativity is a gift from Allah, and we express it through Islamic art and craft activities.
From calligraphy to glass painting, students explore their artistic talents while reflecting
on Islamic themes. Additionally, self-defense practice empowers our students to be
confident and safe.
7. Community Work
Islam places great emphasis on serving humanity. Through initiatives like the Winter
Drive, Flood Relief, Summer Drive, inviting underprivileged children to our campus,
feeding them, children preparing sadaqa banks, sadaqa boxes, and hygiene kits by
donating to the needy, we practice the Sunnah of generosity and compassion.
8. Islamic Fair
Through stories from the Quran of the Prophets, Hadith, sahabas and presentations on
the Khulafa-e-Rashideen, we deepen our understanding of Islam’s history and
teachings. This event is not just educational; it is a source of inspiration for all of us.
9. Hajj Week
Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam. By showcasing the process of Hajj and displaying
models of the Kaaba, we help students visualize and appreciate the significance of Hajj
Conclusion
Dear students, teachers, and guests, at Canadian Maple International School, we are
committed to nurturing not only the students’ academic growth but also their spiritual
and moral development.
Let us strive to be individuals who embody the teachings of Islam—individuals who are
kind, respectful, and mindful of Allah in every action. Together, we can create a school
environment that reflects the beauty and wisdom of our faith.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your attention. May Allah guide us all on the path of
righteousness and grant us success in this world and the hereafter.
