You may now take your seats. Thank you, Ma’am!

I am Mae Angela Alac, Merralie Corciega,

Lovely Joy Luayon, and Kerby Araco and we
will be your teachers for today.
Before anything else, may I know who is the
class monitor?
Kindly, check the attendance who are present
and absent today and give it to me after the
discussion.
Yes, Ma’am!
So how’s your day? Is it good so far?
We’re all good, tired and hungry ma’am.

c. Review
Who can give a short recapitulation of our
past lesson? Anyone?
Okay, Ms. Ms. Elaisa. Last meeting, we discussed Aesthetics as the
philosophical study of beauty and taste and
its three approaches, the stages of Hand-eye
coordination development, and Visual literacy
which define the ability to understand and
interpret visual information, like images,
videos, and graphics. Verbal creativity
involves the ability to use language in
imaginative and original ways, like writing
stories, poems, or jokes. Both visual literacy
and verbal creativity are important skills for
effective communication and understanding
the world around us. That’s all ma’am.

Very good! Let’s give Mosquito applause to

Ms. Elaisa. (claps)

B. Developmental Activities

a. Motivation

Listen up: We've prepared five words written

on a small piece of paper. Your task is to give
them meaning. They are attached to the
bottom of your seat. The person who finds
them will be rewarded.

b. Presentation
Did you enjoy our motivation? Yes, Ma’am,

From the following guessed words, what do

you think will be our topic for today? I believe that our topic for today is still the
continuation of Arts and Creative Literacy,
Ma’am!
Very Good, our topic for today is the
continuation of the Arts and Creative Literacy.
c. Discussion
Before we proceed, please count off from one One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
to ten. nine, ten….
Now, find a partner who has the same
number as you. Each pair will be given a
specific topic about integrating arts and
creative literacy into the curriculum. Once you
receive the topic, you will have five minutes to
brainstorm and discuss it with your partner.
Afterward, you will share your ideas and
understanding in front of your classmates. Is
everything clear? Yes, Ma’am.

So, your five minutes will begin. (students begin to think and discuss it with
their partners)
Time's up, your five minutes are finished.
Let's begin sharing your thoughts and
understanding of the topic that we assigned
to you.
1. Physical environment
Let’s hear from the group 1.
Design a physical environment to support
creativity, such as a castle-designed school
building. well-architecturally designed edifice,
roofs and ceilings, creative murals, beautiful
garden landscape, colorful blocks, and
benches in the math and science garden,
structured music and arts studio, an atelier,
student lounge. amphitheater, etc.
Imagine a school designed like a castle with
colorful murals, a beautiful garden, a music
and art studio, a workshop, and a student
lounge. This inspiring environment
encourages creativity and provides a
stimulating learning space for everyone.

Well said! Group 1, let us give them a cute (applauding)

applause.

Let’s proceed to group 2. 2. Emotional environment

Take time to create and maintain a climate of
respect, caring, and support for someone
when making mistakes.
When someone makes a mistake, it's
important to create a safe space for them to
learn and grow. Instead of criticizing or
shaming, offer encouragement and
understanding. For example, if a student
struggles with a math problem, you could say,
"It's okay, everyone makes mistakes. Let's
work on it together." By fostering a culture of
respect and support, we help individuals feel
empowered to take risks and learn from their
experiences.
3. Project-based learning (PBL)
Correct! Well explained, five claps for group
2. Next, Group 3. Provide students time, space and opportunity
to express themselves their ideas, emotions
and insights through arts. Design and plan
any projects that are relevant, rigorous and
real-world to attain motivation, engagement
and learning.
Project-based learning encourages students
to explore their creativity and apply their
knowledge through hands-on projects. For
example, students could research and design
a sustainable city model, integrating art,
science, and technology to create a real-
world solution.
4. Teach creative thinking skills
Magnificent! Group 3 precisely share their

thoughts. Next, Group 4.
"thinking about their thinking even to the little
ones through the process of brainstorming,
reasoning, comparing and contrasting,
problem-solving, concept mapping, analyzing,
evaluating, and more.
Teaching creative thinking skills starts with
helping students become aware of their
thinking process. This can be done through
activities like brainstorming, where they learn
to generate ideas freely. For example, when
facing a problem, encourage children to ask
themselves, "What are all the possible
solutions?", "What are the pros and cons of
each option?", and "What strategies can I use
to improve my thinking?"

5. Alternative assessments
Great job, group 4! Your ideas were very
interesting. Now, let's move right along to Instead of just a worksheet or an assignment,
group 5. provide different authentic assessment like
performance, systems design, product/output
making, visual arts creation, task-based,
project-based, portfolio, and others provided
with rubrics and other forms of metrics.
Alternative assessments are ways to
measure learning beyond traditional tests and
worksheets. These assessments focus on
real-world applications and allow students to
demonstrate their understanding through
activities. For example, instead of a written
test on historical events, students could
create a museum exhibit showcasing artifacts
and providing historical context, which would
be assessed based on accuracy,
presentation, and creativity.

6. Scheduling Project-based curriculum and

6. time and proper scheduling in either
structured or unstructured manner.
Project-based learning and performance
assessments require significant time for both
student exploration and teacher guidance.
This means that scheduling needs to be
flexible and adaptable to accommodate the
unique needs of each project. For instance, a
project on building a miniature city could
involve research, design, construction, and
presentation phases, each demanding
dedicated time slots within the curriculum.

7. Student-centered and personalized

and how they will demonstrate what they
have learned.
This approach allows students to choose
topics that interest them, explore learning
styles that suit them best, and demonstrate
their understanding in ways that align with
their strengths. For example, a student
passionate about environmental issues might
choose to research sustainable farming
practices
(All student’s claps)

Good job! Group 7, all of you explained it well.

Four claps for them. Okay! next group. 8. Incorporate arts
Integrate seamlessly music, art, drama and
dance into the curriculum to develop
creativity.
Incorporating the arts into the curriculum can
foster creativity in a fun and engaging way.
For example, instead of simply reading a
historical text, students could create a play or
musical performance based on the events,
allowing them to express their understanding
through different artistic mediums. This
approach not only encourages creativity but
also deepens comprehension and

students to create and utilize blogs and

classroom projects using Google Hangouts,
etc.
Integrating technology into the classroom
empowers students to become creators and
collaborators. For example, a history class
could create a collaborative website
showcasing their research on a historical
event, complete with multimedia elements,
interactive timelines, and student-written blog

concisely. Last but not least group number
10.
10. Preparing the body and brain for creativity
Create activities that induce body-mind
integration, such as yoga, ballet, jazz, zumba,
calisthenics, etc.
Engaging in activities that integrate the body
and mind, like yoga or dance, can stimulate
creativity by promoting focus, relaxation, and
physical expression. For instance,
incorporating a brief yoga session before a
writing assignment can help students relax,
clear their minds, and tap into their creative
potential.
Well done! Group 10.

Now, let’s give one another a Donesia

Applause for participating.
