THE CHILD AND ADOLESCENCE LEARNERS AND LEARNING PRINCIPLES
ACTIVITY
1. Yes
2. Developmental stage — Symbol
a. Pre natal period — pre-natal development
b. Infancy — newborn (birth to 2 years)
c. Early childhood — greatest untold poem (3-5 years)
d. Middle and late childhood — wisdom of human development
(6-12 years)
e. Adolescence — searching for a face of our own (13-18 years)
f. Early adulthood — work and love (19-28 years)
g. Middle adulthood — what we have been forms what we will be
(30-60 years)
h. Late adulthood — we shed the leaves of youth and are
stripped by the winds of time (61 years and above)
3. If I were given a chance, I would live the life of adolescence,
because for me it is the peak of discovering ourselves and making
the most out of everything, because its in the middle of the
developmental stages, thus having not so many restrictions of being
too young nor being too old.
ANALYSIS
1. A total of 8 developmental stages were described, and these stages
compare to havighurst's developmental stages in terms of having
the same terms and duration of each stages hence having the same
definition of each developmental stage wherein the way of
explaining is the only difference.
2. In my point of view, the outstanding trait or behaviour that each
stages have in common were their growth and development
because in each stage we acquire knowledge that can only be
achieved and experienced in each particular stage.
3. The expected task of each developmental stages were the peak of
realization and learning because each stage must be completed
with a certain learning before proceeding and fully experiencing
another stage of development.
4. Yes, the higher level of developmental needs to accomplish the
learnings of the previous stages, because there’s a proper process
for everything in order to grow and to confidently say that we’ve
developed.
REFLECTION
1. During my early, middle, and late childhood I was able to
successfully completed the tasked required for the adolescence up
to late adulthood, and that is because I am guided by knowledge
and learning through school and family, because after all, what
shapes us are our surroundings and environment, so these things
are what facilitated me in my development.
2. Through successfully experiencing and accomplishing the tasks for
each developmental stages, the way I should teach as a parent or
student will be guided by those learnings and experiences, because
personally I only want what’s best for others before myself.
