ABSTRACT

This study aims to know how effective are the strategies of barangay

peacekeeping action team towards the safety of the community in Poblacion

Lugait Misamis Oriental. To perform this study, a face-to-face survey was

used to collect data and using a questionnaire as the instrument. Data analysis

methods included frequency count and Standard deviation. This study includes

one hundred fifty (150) respondents who are the selected community and the

Barangay peacekeeping action team (BPAT) personnel. The questionnaire will

consist of questions relating to the strategies of BPAT which is the patrol

operations and its effectiveness. After administering the questionnaire, the

researchers used rating scale questionnaire to determine the strategies and

effectiveness in terms of mobile patrol, foot patrol, patrol visibility. And to

show whether the respondents agree or disagree in the given questions. The

results of the study will be useful for the local government unit, the barangay

personnel, the barangay peacekeeping action team personnel, and the

community in developing the strategies and its effectiveness in the event of

emergencies.

To the Purok President of Poblacion Lugait, the researchers appreciate

the kindness and for allowing them to obtain information about the total

population of Poblacion Lugait. Also, the researchers would like to thank all

made the research study reach its completion;
