Josie Knight
Josie Knight (born 29 March 1997) is an
Josie Knight
English professional racing cyclist who has at
various stages represented Ireland, Great Britain
and England. Born in Buckinghamshire in
England, her family moved to Dingle, Co. Kerry
in Ireland during her early infancy. Josie
competed for Ireland prior to 2018, winning
silver with the Irish team in the European Junior
Championships in team pursuit in Anadia,
Portugal.
Following her transfer to the UK team in 2018,
Knight was part of the Great Britain team that
won the silver medal in team pursuit at the 2020
Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She is a
World and double European champion in team
pursuit, and in 2024 became European champion
in individual pursuit, her first international title.
She has won further silver and bronze medals for Josie Knight in 2020
Great Britain in the World and European Personal information
Championships, and at the European Games. Born 29 March 1997

Knight was born in 1997 near Aylesbury, Women's track cycling

afterwards. She spent her childhood in Dingle, Olympic Games

for Olympics 2020 and neither had they an 2023 Grenchen Individual pursuit
indoor Velodrome to train on. Knight became 2024 Apeldoorn Team pursuit
British champion when winning the Individual Representing England
Pursuit Championship at the 2020 British
Commonwealth Games
National Track Championships.[3]

Knight was chosen to be part of the UK's 26- Representing Ireland
strong cycling squad for the delayed 2020 Tokyo U23 & Junior European Championships
Olympics where she wS joined by Katie 2014 Anadia Individual pursuit
Archibald, Elinor Barker, Laura Kenny and Neah
Evans for the endurance races.[4] The team won
the silver medal in the women's team pursuit event.[5]
She was part of the Great Britain squad which won gold in the team pursuit at the 2024 UCI Track
Cycling World Championships in Ballerup, Denmark.[6][7]
