Preliminary Activity
- Good morning lovely children’s, before
we start into our discussion this morning. - In the name of the father and of the son,

- Great, seems like most of you have a
favorite cartoon character.

- These are my favorite cartoon character;

- We Bare Bears!
- Wonderful, since you know my favorite
character. Let me share a story about them. (Pupils clap three time)
- Are you ready to listen? Clap three times
if you are.
- Perfect, listen carefully children.
THE ADVENTURE OF THREE BEARS
As they walked excitedly into the forest,
Grizzly led the way, bounding ahead while
Panda sang happily about the beautiful (Pupils listening attentively)
cherry blossoms. Ice Bear, carrying a
backpack full of snacks, ensured they had
everything they needed. Suddenly, a tiny
rabbit jumped into view, and after some
initial surprise, they welcomed it to join
their picnic. They spread out their snacks,
shared treats, and even danced around in
joy, creating wonderful memories. As the
sun began to set, they headed home, happy
and full of joy, already planning their next
adventure together.

-Based on what I have read of the story
about the three bears. Group yourselves
into five and do the following scenarios.

Group 1- sing a song that is in your favorite
cartoon movie.
Group 2- Dance your favorite cartoon
dance. (Pupils actively participated.)
Group 3- Roleplay your favorite cartoon
scene.
C. Explain

- Who are the characters once again? - The three bears!
- Where did they go? - Into the forest teacher
- What did they do in the forest? - To have some picnic!
- What did the three bears do? - They walked, sing, jumped, and danced!
- Very good!
- These are the activities they did in the
forest.

- What have you noticed on the picture
children?
- Very good!
- This morning we’re going to tackle about
verbs.
- Does anyone of you are familiar with - It is an action word teacher.

- Good job!
- A verb is a word that describes what the
subject of a sentence is doing. Verbs can
indicate (physical or mental) actions,
occurrences, and states of being.
- Just like what you are doing now children,
your taking down notes that is part of the
verbs. Since writing indicates an action, it
is expected to be a verb.
- Another example, Jhon loves to run in the
morning. The word run is the verbs because
it is an action word.
- Another example is me, since I am in
front of you talking. Talking is the verb
because it is also requiring an action.

- Wonderful, you all got it right!

sentences using the other verbs that you
know?

D. Elaborate
Now lets have an activity. I have here a
word hunt activity, all you have to do is to
look for the action words. Raise your hand
if you find the action words and create a
sentence of that words.

( After 1 minute pupils raised their hands)

- Why do we need to know verb? - For us to differentiate the sentence teacher.
