Ahmad Hassan: Assalamu Alaikum and a very warm welcome to everyone present here! It is a joyous occasion as we come together
to celebrate the power of literature, storytelling, and drama at our Annual Literary Festival.

To begin this beautiful event, I would now like to invite ………… to recite a few verses from the Holy Quran.

(Recitation takes place)

Jibril Cheema: Now, I request everyone to please stand up for the National Anthems of Pakistan and Turkey.

Ahmad Hassan: Thank you, everyone. Literature is the bridge between imagination and reality. As Jorge Luis Borges once said, "I
have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library." It allows us to explore different worlds, emotions, and perspectives.
Our Literary Festival is not just about competition, but about appreciating the creativity, dedication, and expression of our talented
students.

And now, without further ado, let’s begin the Drama Competition!

Our first performance is an English Drama by Grade 8, a stage adaptation of the iconic novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding.
This gripping tale explores the thin line between civilization and savagery. Let’s witness how our young actors bring this powerful
story to life!
