internet. It encompasses a broad set of
competencies that enable individuals to
navigate the digital world effectively,
critically, and responsibly.
Seven Digital Literacy Competencies

•Functional Skills
The ability to use digital tools and platforms
(e.g., computers, smartphones, software) for
basic tasks such as sending emails, browsing
the internet, using applications, and
troubleshooting common technical issues.

2. Information Literacy
• The skill to find, evaluate, and use information
effectively. This includes understanding how to
search for information online, assess the
credibility of sources, and determine the
relevance and accuracy of the content.

and collaborate with others. This involves

selling of goods online. It includes being aware of
risks like fraud and understanding how to make
secure online transactions.

understanding appropriate etiquette and effective
