Newsletter
No 14: 24th February 2012

Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome back! I hope you all managed to have an enjoyable and restful break. Thank you to all who completed the traffic survey which went out last term. In response to some of the concerns raised through this, and following up on a complaint from a local resident, I invited the community Police Officers to come and work with us on improving the traffic situation. The local officers are keen to take a supportive role as we seek to improve road safety during school runs. I have requested that the findings from the traffic survey are displayed on the school website. A few helpful suggestions which you may wish to consider are using the school bus where possible or arranging to car share with other families. It was also pleasing to hear that the majority of families approve of the changes to the early morning arrangements. Do remember that once a member of staff is on playground duty you are able to leave your children to make their own way in when the first bell rings if you so wish, but you are also most welcome to stay and chat!
