INTRODUCTION
JOSIE: Homecoming unites the past and the present. And to look backward for a
while is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it more fit for its prime
function of looking forward.
CLAIRE: Respected guests, alumni from every batch, former and new
administrators, former and new faculty members, ladies and gentlemen, good
evening, and welcome to the Leonardo Barrun Elementary School’s 1 st Grand
Alumni Homecoming.
Today marks another milestone in the history of Leonardo Barrun Elementary
School as we push the boat out on this 1 st Grand Alumni Homecoming.
PHILIPPINE NAT’L ANTHEM & INVOCATION
JOSIE: It’s clear to see that everybody is excited about the program. So, let’s not
prolong the agony of waiting. To start with today’s celebration, let us all stand for
the singing of the Philippine National Anthem through the Yap Sound System
followed by the invocation to be offered to us by Mr. Chiquito A. Prac of Batch
1981.
WELCOME ADDRESS
CLAIRE: You may now take your seat. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all listen to
the welcome address to be given to us by Mr. Reynante R. Espenilla of Batch
1996.
JOSIE: Thank you, sir Espenilla for a heart-warming welcome address.
Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back
to, and today, we are gathered to get back to an institution that stands as our
second home. This home didn’t just build the future for our youth; moreover, she
built our youth for the future.
PRESENTATION OF DIFFERENT BATCHES/ATTENDEES
CLAIRE: At this point, we will acknowledge every person, and batches here as
they will be introduced by an alumna of Batch1985, Mr. Ronnie D. Cantoria.
SURPRISE NUMBER
JOSIE: Breaking the ice is an intermission number! Let us be entertained by a
Batch 1990!! Lets give them a round of applause.
MESSAGE
CLAIRE: We are very honored today to have you here with us one of the
supportive alumni of this institution. To inspire us with a message, let us all stand
and welcome Barangay Captain of Brgy. Poblacion District No.2, from the batch
1981, Punong Barangay, Lino B. Gubangco.
SPECIAL PARTICIPATION
JOSIE: At this moment, let us witness another high-energy move performance to
be presented by batch 2004. Let us give them a round of applause.

CLAIRE: And now, we would like to request all the participants and attendees to
please gather at the center for the Candle Lighting Ceremony with a song, “I
Have A Dream”
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
JOSIE: At this point, let us hear from our Alumni Overall Chairman who has been
actively working with the committees in making this gathering possible. Let’s
welcome, the Principal of dear Alma Mater, Mr. Isaias L. Canchela for his
acknowledgment and inspiration to all of us, a round of applause, please.
