Tutorial Sheet 1

The document is a tutorial sheet for Mechanics of Solids (MEA 3001) containing six problems related to stress analysis at various points in mechanical components. Each problem provides a state of stress and requires the determination of normal and shearing stresses, principal stresses, and other related stress invariants. The answers to each problem are also included for reference.
