SERIES OF 2022

“ AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT


COMMITTEE AND DEFINING ITS FUNCTIONS “

WHEREAS; Section 16 of RA 7160 Known as the Local Government Code of 1991 state that
Local Government units shall , Within their territorial jurisdictions , promote health and safety , improve
public morals , maintain peace order and preserve the comfort and convenience of their inhabitants.

WHEREAS: pursuant to Executive order No. 366 dated September 5,1996 every barangay is
required to Organize a Peace order Council ( BPOC ) to serve as the implementing arm of the
Municipality / city Barangay Peace and order Council , to wit :

SECTION 1. COMPOSITION : BPOC shall be composed of the Following :

Hon. Berjane Mae Escalon SK Chairwoman
Mr. Elesio Estano Lupong Tagapamayapa Members

Mrs. Jessica Aban School Principal / DES
Mrs. Victoria M. Pacquing CSO
Mrs. Antonieta B. Jimenez CSO
PCPT.Carlito Requilme PNP Chief ( Adviser

Section 2: DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS- BPOC shall have the following duties and functions:

a. Monitor and coordinate the implementation of peace and order programs and Barangay
projects.
b. Serve as an information -gathering mechanism.
c. Monitor and check the nefarious activities and criminal elements ;
d. Identifies Barangay Constituents with strong deviant behavior for referral to appropriate
authorities.
Maintains continuing dialogue , close , coordination and rapport with the higher levels of peace
and order and public safety officials in its area of responsibility :
e. Monitors , coordinates , and supervises the operation of all community -based movements
within the barangays;
f. Makes periodic assessment of the prevailing peace and order situation in their respective areas
of responsibility and submits reports to the higher POC;
g. Person such other functions , which may be assigned by the higher POC;

Section 3: EFFECTIVITY
This order shall take effect immediately .

Done this 7th day of January 2022 at Barangay Barangay , Malangas Zamboanga Sibugay.
