AIM OF THE LESSON: To reinforce
holiday vocabulary and grammar (Present and Past Tense, Can/ Can’t, Be going to)
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, the students will be better able to:
- identify at least five holiday activities;
- ask and answer three simple questions with themed prompts;
- match questions and answers based on travel vocabulary.

ANTICIPATING STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS:
I anticipate that the following may cause problems: the students may need further help
and extra indications in solving the task, therefore I have created worksheets with
images to help them understand the task. If the images don’t provide enough
information, the indications will be given in Romanian.
I anticipate that the students may finish earlier the tasks so I provided an extra task based
on reading comprehension and circling the correct answer.

My favourite holiday destination!
Every year, my family and I go on a holiday to Tobermory, in Scotland. It is a fishing
village on the Isle of Mull. We go camping there. We stay at a campsite near the village;
every morning I go for a walk with my mum and in the afternoon, I go sailing with my dad. I
love when we go on the boat trip, I think this is the best part of the holiday.
