Learning Targets

Create a Table and Use Table AutoFormat: Went to the Table menu and clicked on insert and the table tab. For both Tables I put in how many rows/columns I needed. Then, I clicked on the AutoFormat button on the pop up box and I was able to select different formats and borders for both tables. Edit Entries in a Table: On the Table menu I went to the Sort command and on the second table I ordered the data by having the numbers in descending order. I also edited the font of the data in the table, the same way you would edit text in a document. Work with numbers in a Table (alignment): I aligned the numbers in the second table by highlighting them and going to the alignment and spacing tab on the Formatting Palette. Then I clicked on the right alignment tab. There are others ways to align numbers too, like using the Tab Alignment Button in the upper left hand corner of the document. Sorting the Data: On the Sort command in the Table menu, I sorted the numbers in the second table by descending order. Change the Structure of a Table: I highlighted the top row in each table and went to the Merge cells command in the Table menu.
