Sports Preferences and Data Analysis

The document outlines classwork for Chapter 2, including tasks such as constructing frequency distributions, bar graphs, and pie charts based on survey data and heart rate studies. It presents data on favorite sports among students, heart rates of bus drivers, and average daily tickets sold for lake entry. Additionally, it mentions a frequency histogram related to the number of children of U.S. presidents and asks for the identification of the overall shape of the distribution.

3. Frustrated passengers, congested streets, time schedules, and air and noise pollution
are just some of the physical and social pressures that lead many urban bus drivers to
retire prematurely with disabilities such as coronary heart disease and stomach
disorders. The following are heart rates, in bpm, of those in a study that compared a
normal route and an improved route. Make a frequency distribution (use a class width
of 5), a frequency histogram and a stem and leaf diagram for each set of data.
