Body Mapping Activity Instructions:
1. Prepare Your Materials: Print the 1st page of this document (the one with the
human figure and reflection sheet) and prepare colored markers, crayons, or pens.
2. Draw Body Parts (that you feel are the most significant/impactful to you)
Inside/On the Human Figure: Using a pencil or a black ball pen, draw an
illustration of your body parts within/on the human figure (e.g., nose, eyes, heart,
skin, mouth, belly, etc.) that you consider to be the most significant/impactful to
you (whether it be in a literal or figurative sense, either positive or negative).
Afterwards, label the body parts that you have chosen (e.g., arms, legs, brain,
stomach, liver, pancreas, etc.). You are free to choose the manner of labelling
the body parts. Minimum of 2 body parts and a maximum of 3 body parts.
3. Color Code Your Feelings about these Body Parts:
o Think about how you feel about the different parts of the body that you
have drawn (if it is already illustrated in the human figure, such as arms or
legs, you may simply color them or add details to them if these are the
parts that are significant to you). Use the following color codes to express
those feelings:
▪ Green: Represents body parts that you feel contented of.
▪ Red: Use this for body parts that you feel insecure of
▪ Blue: This color indicates body parts that you feel proud of.
o Color them according to how you feel using the designated colors. For
instance, if you feel contented with your arms, color them green; if you feel
insecure about your belly, use the color red. If you feel proud about your
brain or your legs, color them blue.
4. Reflect: After completing your body map, write down your thoughts and
explain the meanings behind the colors you've chosen for each body part
as well as why these body parts are the most significant/impactful to you.
Your explanation/reflection may be literal or figurative. Minimum of 6
sentences and a maximum of 12 sentences. You may use a paragraph form
or a bullet form. Use the space provided. (HANDWRITTEN: black ball pen).
