ABOUT THE CONFERENCE


The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the United Na ons in 2015, represent a comprehensive and
universal call to ac on. These 17 interconnected goals seek to eradicate poverty, safeguard our planet's ecosystems, and
ensure equitable prosperity for every individual by the year 2030. As we move from the midpoint of this ambi ous
agenda, it becomes increasingly vital to assess our progress thus far, iden fy gaps in our efforts, and recalibrate our
strategies. This conference serves as a crucial pla orm designed to galvanize and engage a diverse range of stakeholders,
including government representa ves, civil society, private sector leaders, and academic experts, in the pursuit of these
goals. The conference's primary objec ve is to provide a dynamic pla orm for par cipants to share valuable insights and
best prac ces, foster meaningful collabora on, and develop innova ve strategies that address the systemic barriers
hindering the achievement of the SDGs. Throughout the conference, a endees will have the opportunity to engage in
thought-provoking discussions, par cipate in interac ve workshops, and network with like-minded individuals who are
equally commi ed to driving sustainable change. By encouraging collabora on and crea vity, we aim to cul vate
groundbreaking ideas and formulate concrete ac on plans that can be implemented locally and globally. By uni ng our
efforts and reaffirming our commitment to the SDGs, we can pave the way for a more sustainable future where no one is
le behind. We must work together to address urgent issues such as climate change, inequality, and responsible
consump on, ensuring that sustainability principles are integrated into every level of decision-making. Let us come
together to chart a course for the next six years and beyond, ensuring that progress towards the SDGs becomes not just a
goal but a reality for all.
The objec ves of the conference are to evaluate current progress towards Agenda 2030 and iden fy key gaps, to inspire
stakeholders through successful case studies and innova ve solu ons, to foster partnerships between governments,
businesses, NGOs, and academia to catalyse ac ons geared toward the SDGs, and to develop ac onable roadmaps for
various sectors and regions that align with the SDGs.
Against the backdrop, the interna onal conference on the theme 'Sustainable Development Goals-Agenda 2030: The
Way Ahead' intends to deliberate on sharing best prac ces, iden fying challenges, and exploring mul -stakeholder

ABOUT SOCIETY FOR PATHWAYS TO SUSTAINABILITY (PATHS)


The Society for Pathways to Sustainability (PathS) is a charitable and social welfare organiza on that was established on March
29, 2022. It is made up of a group of mul -disciplinary researchers, academicians, and economic, social, poli cal,
environmental, and human rights policymakers. Their main goal is to develop empirical study findings at the people level and
promote sustained well-being for individuals. The Society is commi ed to advancing research and academic ac vi es related to
the sustainability of people, na ons, communi es, gender and empowerment, social and financial inclusion, regional
development, policy planning, and environmental management. Together with more than 150 members, the Society has
conducted numerous research and sustainability-related ac vi es in a short period, which have had a substan al impact on

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) is a large private university situated in the ancient
commercial city of Kano State of Nigeria. Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano is fully licensed and
accredited by the Na onal Universi es Commission (NUC). MAAUN is well-equipped with the State-of – the – Art

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR CONFERENCE


Instruc ons for Authors: The interested par cipants may register by sending an abstract of research paper (up to 1000 words) or a
poster by February 15, 2025. The extended abstract should contain the following sec ons: Introduc on (200 words),
Methodology/Conceptual framework (150 words), Ra onale/jus fica on of the study (100 words), Results and discussion (200
words) and Expected outcome and policy implica on (350 words). The acceptance will be sent by February 17, 2025 and
registra on by February 20, 2025. Full research paper in MS-word format (Times New Roman, Font-12, line spacing 1.5 and 4000-
6000 words in APA style) may be sent by March 5, 2025.

Ÿ Best Paper Awards: Three Best paper awards (Rs. 5100/-, Rs. 2100/-, and Rs 2100/-(USD 50, 40 and 30 respec vely for
foreign par cipants) will be given to encourage quality research. The best paper awards will be given to those par cipants
who adhered to all guidelines of the conference abstract, registra on and full paper mely.
Ÿ Publica on Opportuni es: Selected quality papers shall be considered for publica on in an Edited Book (ISBN) from a
reputed interna onal publisher or an Interna onal Journal. The publica on of a paper will be subject to the referees'
decision and submission of a copyright agreement and zero plagiarism report.
Ÿ A list of peer reviewed journals, UGC care listed journals and Scopus / WoS listed journals will also be displayed on the
conference website for the publica on of quality manuscripts submi ed and presented in the conference as per the
respec ve journal policy and APC (if any).
