STEPS IN MAKING
A MORALLY GOOD
DECISION
PRESENTED BY GROUP 2
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

1 PAUSE
Pausing gives us time and
space to think and get in
touch with ourselves
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

1 PAUSE
Pause also means not
taking some time to pause
might actually create
more harm than good.
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

2 PROBE
To probe is to think
deeply. In probing, we
ask questions to reveal
the reality or to draw out
the facts of our acts
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

2 PROBE
It also means that we need to go
beyond what we know from the
surface. In probing we must
investigate three aspects:
a. The nature of the act
b. The intentions behind the act
c. The circumstances surrounding
the act
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

3 PONDER
After probing the facts of our
acts, we ponder on what we have
uncovered. We take a second look
at what we have just learned
about our acts, ourselves, and the
environment.
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

3 PONDER
Notice that for this sign, we use two hands
which symbolize the meeting of our reason and
our affect which involve our thoughts and our
feelings. Leveling our two hands together
means that sensing our feelings are as
important as knowing our thoughts. It is
important to ask ourselves: What do I think
about what I have just learned? How do I feel
about it? Why?
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

4 PEOPLE-CHECK
Some people may find this hand sign a bit
unusual, but it symbolizes our need for
humanity and reminds us that it's okay to
seek help from others. We should feel
comfortable asking for guidance from
those who have more knowledge or
experience than we do. Often, we might
know what steps to take, but we still
require the support of others.
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

4 PEOPLE-CHECK
This step is to consult
other persons about our
moral problems and issues.
STEPS IN MAKING A MORALLY GOOD DESISYON:

5 PRAY
Praying to God should not merely be
regarded as one step among many or
simply the last action in the series of
steps in making a moral decision. Prayer
is both an action step and the overall
attitude in making moral decisions.
Pause

Investigate facts and intentions; inquire about

Think Probe
moral norms.

Reflect Introspect: check insights and emotions. Ponder

Inquire Inquire from others. People-check

Pray Implore God's help in our deliberation and action. Pray

We are historical realities, and we are influenced by time and we
PAUSE can influence time.

We are conscious beings, and we can make ourselves aware of the

PROBE nature of our acts, our intentions, and the circumstances
surrounding our decisions.

We have our unique experiences, insights, and emotions, and we

PEOPLE- We are relational persons, and we grow in our relationships with

other human persons.
