Call for Applications
BML Munjal University School of Law (BMU SOL) invites applications for the posts of
Professor (Law), Associate Professor (Law), Assistant Professor (Law), Lecturer /Faculty
Associate (Law).
Deadline for submission of applications: 8th December 2024.
Expected start date: 31st January 2025 or earlier.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants should meet the minimum qualifications stipulated by the Bar Council of
India. Applicants with a PhD, postdoctoral experience, and international exposure will be
preferred, however, those with excellent master’s degrees from reputed institutions are
also encouraged to apply.
For Professors and Associate Professors, BMU SOL values the following attributes:
• Demonstrated ability to publish in internationally peer-reviewed publications,
with a clear plan for continued research upon hiring.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to an experiential, innovative,
and interdisciplinary pedagogy where law teaching speaks to other disciplines.
• Interest in the mentorship of junior faculty and students.
• Interest in institution-building.
• For those with experience in the profession of law: strong networks in the legal
profession with the potential to build academia-profession collaborations.
For Assistant Professors and Lecturers/Faculty Associates, BMU values:
• Ability to teach undergraduate students in an accessible manner.
• Flexibility in teaching a range of core subjects in law.
• Potential to publish in quality peer-reviewed publications.
• Interest in mentoring students.
