Brief Introduction
As I enrolled into this Program I know that it will not going to be easy, before I got to know the
subjects I already imagined how difficult to teach students with special needs but as I encounter
SPED 202 Dynamics of learning Special Education my imagination and perception have changed.
I know it will be a great challenge for me but I know that the objectives of this subject is to let us
learn how to deal with them to be able to understand them deeply and the tailored things that is
only for them. My initial expectations on this subject is I will able to learn deeply on what are really
is the dynamics of learning special education is. How to deal with students with special needs,
what are the learning materials or facilities that is best fit for them according to their type of
disability. On the other hand, my goals about this subject is I will be fully equipped of the things
that I needed to learn in preparation for the real world. As our professor introduced to us its
objectives my expectations widened, it turns to goals, on what I wanted and needed to learn on
this particular course. Here are the goals I want to achieved:

- Magna Carta For Disabled Persons (RA7277): mandates the states to consider special
requirements of disabled persons in educational policies and programs.
- Special Education Act of 2007 (SB No. 517): proposes establishing sped centers and
programs with at least one center per school division.
- Special Education Act of 2008 ( SB No. 2020): Similar to SB No. 517 aiming to provide
comprehensive special education services.
- Department of Education Orders: Deped Order No.27 s. 1997, requires divisions to
organize at least one sped center. Deped Order No. 14 s. 1993, establishes regional
sped councils.
