PROJECT 1: BASKET WEAVING
Basket Weaving Classes:
Overview: Your friend Trevor was recently hired a college professor and needs you to edit parts
of his presentation for his Basket Weaving classes next week.
1. In slide master view, duplicate the "title only" layout. Name the new slide layout,
"picture and text". Insert a picture placeholder on the right (under the title) and a text
place holder to the left (under the title)
2. Configure the printing options to print 5 copies of the Notes pages for all slides. All
copies of page 1 should print before copies of page 2.
3. At the end of the presentation, insert the slide from the "Udemy" presentation.
4. On slide 2, apply the Bevel Perspective Left, White picture style and the paint brush
artistic effect to the three images.
5. On the Why Udemy slide, insert the video, "Udemy intro", in the bottom right corner of
the slide.
6. On slide 3, add a "down" animation path to the books icon.
7. Create a New Photo Album and insert the pictures 1.jpg, 2.png and 3.png. These images
can be found in your folder. Order the pictures by 2.png first, 3.png second,
and 1.jpg third.
PROJECT 2: POP AND SON CONSTRUCTION
Pop and Son Construction
Mike and his son Avery want to start their own construction company. Help them add some
final touches to their presentation so they can pitch the idea to their wife/mom, Alana.
1. Create a section called "Office information" that includes slides 3 and 4.
2. On slide 3 use the Draw tab to highlight the text, "Build" with yellow 6mm highlighter
3. On slide 4, under the title, "Pillars of success" insert a "Vertical bending process"
SmartArt graphic. Label the first four shapes like this: "Hard work", "Dedication",
"Passion", and "Family". Delete any remaining shapes.
4. On the last slide, insert a 3D model from the online selections under "Plan and
Landscaping Project". Choose the 3D model of a gazebo and place it to the right of the
"thank you" text.
5. Apply the "swing" animation to the gazebo.
6. Apply the wipe transition from the left to all slides
7. In the file properties, add "construction" as a subject.
8. Change the view to Slide Sorter and change the Zoom to 200%.
PROJECT 3 INCLUSIVE PRACTICES
Inclusive Procties
1. Add a new slide in between slides 2 and 3 from the Inclusive Practices.docx
2. On the first slide, add alt text description to the image, "boy and girl in pool".
3. On the "Student enrollment increases..." slide, add a row to the bottom of the table.
Enter Semester 4 in the left most column.
4. On the Semester Comparison slide, in the content placeholder on the right, create a 3-D
Clustered Column chart that displays only the table content.
5. On the Comparison slide, customize the chart on the right to displays only the table
content.
6. Use the New Window to open the current presentation in a new window, and use
the Arrange All tool to see all the open presentations.
7. Change the Page Setup to have a Custom size of 7.5 (19.05 cm) width x 10 (25.4 cm)
height and an orientation of the notes, handouts & outline to be Landscape. Ensure the
content fits the new slide size.
8. Save the entire presentation as a PDF named Powerpoint01.pdf in the \
GMetrixTemplates folder. Make sure the Open File After Publishing option is
unchecked.
PROJECT 4
Meeting Minutes
1. On slide 2, insert a footer that displays the slide number and
"www.ontariotraining.net". Apply the footer to every slide except the title slide.
2. Customize the handouts to be landscape and 3 slide per page
3. Prepare to print with handouts is two slides and Page number all of page
4. On the "Suggested Phrases" slide, format the bullet list as two columns with 0.5 inch
sapcing.
5. On slide 2, insert Section Zoom links to "Section 2: Description", "Section 3: Types", and
"Section 4: Dos and Don'ts". Reposition the section thumbnails so that they aren't
stacked on top of each other.
6. On the "You should record" slide, change the 3D model view to "top".
7. For all slides, set the transition variation to From Left, duration 3s
8. On the "You should record" slide, configure the Jump and Turn animation to the 3D
image
PROJECT 5: MOVIE NIGHT
Movie Night
Your friends ore planning a virtual movie night and need to add some last- minute PowerPoint
features to their presentation.
1. On the title slide, insert a hyperlink on the text, "All My Life" to
"https://www.universalpictures.co.uk/micro/all-my-life".
2. On slide 4; rearrange the pictures so that "The 355" poster is in the front, "The King of
Staten" Island is just behind that one, and "The Croods 2" is in the back.
3. Hide the last slide in the presentation
4. Below Slide 3 add the note: Take reading with you through technology.
5. Change the bullet list on slide 5 into a Basic Block List SmartArt graphic.
6. For all slides, set the transition duration to 3 seconds.
7. Change the view of the slideshow to Grayscale, and show Gridlines.
8. In the current presentation Delete the second Comment in the document.
9. Create a Custom Slide Show with name is Show1, it has only the slide 1,2,4, set up slide
show to run custom show Show1 and browsed by an individual, Loop continuously
until the ESC key. Accept all other default settings.
