Part I- Opening Program
Youth can contribute a massive change in our society. They are like diamonds in a rough, needing to be
polished in order to display its shining qualities. However, it does not happen overnight. They need to undergo
process of transformation in order for their qualities to become evident and useful to our society.
Pasalamatan natin ang mga kontribusyon ng ating kabataan sa ating komunidad ngayong Linggo ng
Kabataan. Sa kabila ng pandemya, patuloy pa rin ang partisipasyon ng ating kabataan kabilang na ang mga
Sangguniang Kabataan sa ating mga barangay.
Kabataan, maging aktibo sa pagtulong sa iyong komunidad. This is also to inform all concerned that the
theme: “𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚: 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝑨𝒈𝒆𝒔.”
observance of this year’s Linggo ng Kabataan will be centered around the International Youth Day 2022’s
This year’s International Youth Day aims to “amplify the message that action is needed across all generations
to achieve the SDGs and leave no one behind”, and that solidarity and collaboration across generations are
vital to ensure sustainable and equitable development.
By the virtue of the Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, the Sanggunian Kabataan Reform Act of 2015
mandates the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan in every barangay, municipality, city and province on the
week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International Youth Day (IYD) with the theme
“Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”
Jaf: It is my great pleasure to welcome every one of you to Linggo ng Kabataan 2022 The Opening Program,
here at the DLRC Ibajay West District!
1. And now, behold and pay tribute to our National Color.
2. And to formally start the program, let us express gratitude and appeal for heaven’s guidance and
blessing over this momentous event; may I request everyone to please rise for an Invocation, which
will be followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Aklan Hymn, and Ibajay March,
through recorded music.
3. It is indeed an exciting day for all us, starting from the youth mass, to coastal clean up, advocacy
parade, up to zumba exercise that we had awhile ago, as we celebrate our Linggo ng Kabataan!
And now, Honorable guests, ladies and gentlemen. Without further due, let us listen to our highly
esteemed and ever vibrant PPSK President of Ibajay, we have the Hon. Sherwin S. Castro for his
opening remarks. Let us all give him a resounding round of applause.

4. At this juncture, ladies and gentlemen, let us all give our undivided attention for the message of our
MLGOO- Ibajay, we have, LGOO VI Katrina A. Muyuela. (Municipal Local Government Operations

5. To kick the ball rolling, I’m sure you wouldn't like to miss this one. Prepare yourself for the
presentation of participants to be done by Hon. Rosenda M. Magbiray, SK- Chairperson of Brgy.

performance.
6. Before we continue, at this point, we shall be witnessing an intermission number, let us rendered a big

7. Ladies and gentlemen. Let us lend our ears and open our hearts for the message, of the incomparable,
Hon. Engr. Jose Miguel M. Miraflores, our Municipal Mayor of Ibajay. Let us give him a resonating
applause.

I think everything is set… so Let us welcome our first speaker, with her topic on the Role of the Youth
in Achieving SDGs, put your hands together, for our first speaker, we have Ms. Janica Anne Legaspi ,

11. Wow! Everyone really gave their all and as one of the teachers, I could probably say that I am truly
proud of what they have shown, they have just blossom right before our eyes. I am just happy that the
Foundation Day Celebration becomes a platform to showcase students’ talent in singing, dancing and a
lot more! Once again, thank you students from Grade 7 to grade 12 for that very compelling
presentations. Hope to see more of that!
12. So here we go guys….finally, ladies and gentlemen, may we call on our last speaker for today, who will
tackle on the Impact of Ageism in the Society, please welcome, Mrs. Ma. Mae S. Tanogan, Former SK
Federation President.
