Fray Check – Dabbing Fray Check (can be purchased at any fabric store) on the ends is
necessary when using nylon thread which ravels easily. When coming to an end or changing colors
work over the thread just like yarn but leave a little more thread. Then clip close to the stitches
and immediately dab Fray Check on the end and the surrounding area on the inside of your work.
It can darken the thread so dab lightly but make sure it’s saturated.
With var yellow ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to create ring.
Round 1 - Ch 1, 8 hdc into ring. Sl st into beginning ch 1.
Round 2 - Ch 1, 3 hdc in ea hdc around. Sl st in beginning ch 1 with the yo in purple. 24 hdc
Round 3 - Ch 1, sl st in ea hdc around in back loop only. Sl st in beginning ch 1.
Petals - (Ch 20. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Hdc in next ch, dc in ea of next 16 ch, hdc in next ch.
Sl st in back loop only of next sl st on middle circle) Repeat around, creating 24 petals. Sl st into
bottom of 1st petal. Fasten off.
