 Strengthen cognitive, creative, affective and motor
training through the development of sports habits, health
and coexistence values.
 Use time in a healthy way to improve the educational
process and quality of life.
 Recognize and value sports training while respecting
individual differences for harmonious coexistence.
3. IMPORTANCE.
The important thing about sport in the educational field is that it gives priority to the objective of: staying in good
physical shape and helping the student to start practicing sports.

Even if there is competition, it will always be less demanding and more tolerant, to allow all students to participate.
As the academic years progress, school sports will become more competitive and the pleasure of playing will
increasingly be replaced by the pleasure of competing, winning and achieving results.

Sports activities are the pillar of the integral development of people, and in the case of students it is essential to
eradicate some of the vices inherent to modernization, where drugs, alcohol and the search for easy money could
become a death trap for youth.

School sport is an important element in the development of certain skills that the individual must enhance and work
on: social and civic competence, competence in linguistic communication, competence in learning to learn, cultural
and artistic competence, and competence in autonomy and personal initiative. This is one of the new challenges of the
educational system and of leisure and free time activities, since they are directly responsible for the formation of
individuals in all their dimensions and with those key elements that will serve them in their adult life.

School sport encompasses all physical and sporting activities, whether competitive, health-related or recreational. It is
the first to promote the formation of values and thus contribute to the development of an individual who integrates all
the dimensions that make him or her up as a person through the practice of sport.
