STRUCTURED MICROCYCLE PLANNING, SUB9 CATEGORY

Planning focused on 2 "micro cycles" as an introduction to a work method for the under-9
category (2012-2011) where various specific works will be carried out that contribute to the
"optimal" complement of the player in his various individual structures where comprehensive
training is the fundamental principle of training.

It is proposed that the methodological principles that will be used in this practice are related to
a globalized teaching in the various tasks that will be established where priority will be given to
the "coordinative" and "cognitive" structure of the child, this structure is composed of didactic
games that encourage the child's attention when carrying out physical activity that complements
their coordination both at a motor level and also focused on objects (ball).

The planning will be composed of various analytical tasks that in most cases will be used as
corrective exercises that encourage the player to correctly "technically" execute the various
gestures with and without a ball, it will be presented mostly as "motor activation circuits" where
the player's psychomotor skills are encouraged and the child's adaptation to knowing how to
handle his body, as well as encouraging the child to be interested in knowing his body and its
capabilities related to a sports discipline, we define these tasks in the planning as generic tasks
where there is an absence of the ball and isolated exercises from the "game" will be performed,
these will support basic motor coordination.

Coordination based on or in relation to objects, that is, towards the ball, will be trained through
directed and special tasks. These technical tasks will be carried out based on the
technical/cognitive capacities of the groups to be practiced, since the groups will be divided
depending on these capacities in order to in turn carry out training according to their current
training needs. In the directed task, the various technical gestures relating to the ball will be
trained and developed. These may be ball control, ball dribbling, “lateral” and “linear” handling,
among others that will be specified more clearly later.

Special tasks are important in the gradual development of the player's training since in them
various sessions will be carried out with real "opposition", subjectively it is proposed that the
player from an early age should be stimulated the intelligence of the game based on training
similar to a match or situation pre-designed by the coach in charge, these tasks are related to
the globalized teaching of training at the level of children's soccer where "3x3", "2x3" and "2x1"
situations will be established that stimulate the player to learn by playing and thus we stimulate
the coordinative, cognitive and creative / expressive structure in an integral way and thus form
intelligent players.
Possession games are included in the work plan, but these will be carried out with a
predetermined group chosen by the coach where an optimal level is observed to adapt and
assimilate the task in question.

WEEK 1

First week of training, in which basic training is carried out to get to know the players, their
abilities, characteristics and personalities. During this week, the coach will directly observe the
development of the training and the recruitment of the players to the previous tasks to be
planned.

This week, emphasis will be placed on evaluating the player's coordination abilities in order to
carry out a prior diagnosis of the group in order to identify the weaknesses as well as the
virtues and work on them through optimal training that strengthens their technical/cognitive
abilities.

TASK:

(7vs7 football)

1. Generic task: Psychomotor activation circuit focused on the analysis stage of

each player based on their coordinative and motor abilities, where a varied
circuit will be carried out, in which isolated perceptual variants of the game will
be introduced that will optimally develop the abilities related to the child's
coordinative structure.

Material available:

> 6 Medium hoops.

> 25 Plates.
> 1 elastic band
> 12 small cones
> 4 balls of different sizes

2. Generic task: Establish various educational games that encourage children to

initiate physical effort related to the conditional and coordinative structure
while having fun and competing in a healthy manner. These games will be
structured with various variants that the coach will dictate through the players
assimilating the rules of the game.
❖ Game 1: Establish a relay game where a certain object
must be carried and brought to a specific point set by the
coach. In this game, speed and resistance will be
evaluated in initiation stages, as well as cooperation and
teamwork at early ages. It is structured in groups of 4.
As a variation, a ball is introduced to the group that has
correctly assimilated the exercise, but this variation is
optional.
❖ Game 2: Establish a game of chasing in pairs where the
child is encouraged in a didactic way to change direction
in relation to laterality in small spaces.
As a variant, two balls are introduced in pairs and the
chase is carried out with the ball under control, thus
encouraging technical development focused on object-
oriented technical gestures.
Materials to be provided:
> 1 elastic band
> 4 Rings
> 25 dishes
> 12 cones
> 6 soccer balls number 4

3. Directed Task: Specific session on handling the ball in a “linear” manner where
the space corresponding to ball control will be limited in order to generate
difficulty when carrying the ball and encourage children to carry the ball close
to their foot with a correct technical gesture.
As a variant, balls of different “weight” will be used with the aim of developing
perceptive capacities at the time of correct contact with the object based on
the correct application of the technical gesture.

Materials to be provided:
> 4 soccer balls number 4
> 4 lightweight recreational balls
> 20 cones.
THURSDA
Y 30TH:

1. Directed Task: Session focused on handling balls of different weights with

reaction and concentration variants where a reduced space with obstacles is
established. In this session, a variant in relation to psychomotor skills will be
introduced as a complement in relation to the coordinative structure.

Materials to be provided:
> 20 cones
> 15 dishes
> 6 soccer balls number 4
> 4 lightweight recreational balls

2. Special Task: Fundamental part of the training to follow since it will start with
the principles of the game towards a technical/cognitive training in relation to
the development of the cognitive structure where a “3x0” situation is
established indicating to the player how they should position themselves and
progress the ball between teammates, then it changes to “3x1” and “3x3”
variants depending on the general progress of the group.

Materials to be provided:
> 4 jumpers
> League or plates to delimit the 20x20 space
> Vests ( 10 )
> 4 soccer balls number 4.

3. Competitive Task: To conclude the training, carry out some 7vs7 soccer games
where the player's abilities in relation to the soccer game will be evaluated in a
"direct" manner.

Materials to be provided:
> 2 soccer balls number 4.
> Vests
> 5-a-side football goal.

WEEK 2

Second week of specific training where the coach has correctly carried out a direct
observation of the players in general, evaluating their performance both at the
sporting level and in terms of group coexistence.

This week, training will gradually increase in reference to the established tasks, where
priority will be gradually given to the cognitive and coordinative structure that
children in this category need to achieve, as an objective or goal, optimal and

TASK:

(7vs7 football)
TUESDAY 04:

1. Special task: Establish 4 predetermined zones in a space measuring 20x20,

where the warm-up will be carried out in a didactic manner through a free
chase game. In each zone, groups of "6" are recommended to establish a 4x2
chase game. In this, the player's decision-making is free when going to any
space, as long as he is in his specific zone.
Establish “stationary” variants where emphasis is placed on basic motor
coordination, as well as reaction variants, all of these are established at the time
that the coach in charge of the instruction establishes for the children.

Materials to be provided:

> 1 league to delimit spaces.

> Plates to delimit spaces.
> Between 12 vests.

2- . Directed Task:
Establish a ball handling session with a variation on passing precision and
control. This session is placed in the 4 zones already pre-designed for use.

Materials to be provided:
> 12 cones
> 4 soccer balls number 4
> 8 dishes
> 1 league to delimit spaces.

3- . Special Task: Initiation of small-sided games with little difficulty, establishing a

numerical superiority "3x1" or "4x2" in a small space and later in 4 zones. It is
important to clarify that this task is not entirely safe to execute and plan on the court,
everything depends on the analysis of the qualities that make up the group of players,
where the exercise as such is not a mental "burden" for them.
