CH 11 : PROBLEMS AFTER INDEPENDENCE OF PAKISTAN ;

1.Geographic problem ;
There was a problem that pakistan was divide in two parts means West past(nowadays
Pakistan) and East pakistan(Bangladesh)
and in between there was the India so it was hard to manage both parts of pakistan
because in center there was the India
2.Government Problem ;
As we know Pakistan was new state and pakistan got the land where there was no
office and stationary so for government
pakistanis had a lots of problems because of lack of well-educated
governers,offices and stationary
3.Division of Financial Assets ;
acctualy when Pakistan was being divided in the riserved bank of pakistan there
were 4 billion ruppees in which the pakistan
money was 750 million ruppess according to the population but India cheated and
just give us 200 million (550 million left)
because they knew that if they will give Pakistan all the Pakistan willc spend all
money to increase/inprove the army and
if they did so Pakistan will take Kashmir from us but after the Gandi no eating
march Indian government give more 500
million to pakistan but still 55 million is left
4.Division of Military Assests;
They were divided according to the ratios of there population (india : pak = 64:34)

Ordinance factory(weapon making factory) :


Total = 16, pak = 0 , india = 16 but pakistan should get 5 and india should get 11.
Pakistanis started to protest and in result Indian gave 60 million rupees as a
alternative for the ordinance factory which
later in pakistan used to built the factories.
Army of Mens;
pakistan should get the Army of 4000(according to the 36%) they only given us the
2500 army soldiers which caused the weak
strenth (Not to mention just info : later Jinnah hired 500 british soldiers to make
the army strong )
5.Refugee Problems;
As Indo-Pak migration was the biggest migration ever so when muslims came to the
pakistan it was very hard to accomodate
them like to give them jobs there were already very less factories there which lead
to the burden on the government of
pakistan (not included later on jinnah shifted the headquaters to the lahore from
the karachi because the refuges came from
india and lahore hve one side connected to the India )
6.Canal Water Dispute;
Sir red cliph guven the headworks to india so pak faced a lot of problem because
pak is a agriculture country.In 1948
there was a threat that India will stop the water so pakistani governmtent bought
the water from the India ( not included:
later this problem was solved by the Indus water treaty in 1960)
Division of Princely States;
1.Junaghar 2.Hyderabad 3.Kashmir
In Jhunagar the ruler was Muslim Population : Hindus ruler wanted to join the
Pakistan but the india said that the people
are hindus so they will join the india
In Hyderabad the ruler was Muslim Population : Hindus ruler wanted to join the
Pakistan but when the indian army came to know
that he want to joint the pak the indian army captured the ruler and again they
again joined the hyderabad with india.
Whereas in Kashmir the ruler was non-muslim(Hari singh) but the people was muslims
it should be the part of pakistan but
india have done wrong so still both countries have relation with that so it is
under the fight
Facts
-->India gave us the weponary very late because the was feared that they will lost
the kashmir and all the given wepons
were badly damaged.
