Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the field of business analytics, which has been defined as
the extensive use of data i.e., statistical and quantitative analysis, descriptive, predictive and
prescriptive models. The use of Excel and Tableau as an analytic and visualization tools to support
business analytics is discussed. Moreover, the application of selected data mining techniques to
business decision making situations is also illustrated. Students actively participate in the delivery
of this course through case, problem based learning and project presentations.
