WELCOME SPEECH ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION @

FIRSTLOVE ASSEMBLY RUKPOKWU, PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE.

Top of the day to you all beloved Saints of God!

I welcome you to this auspicious event of “Mother’s day” celebration 2023 edition. Before I
proceed, I want to specially congratulate all the mothers seated here this morning. Happy mother’s
Day!

The word MOTHER is indeed small but the feelings and importance are very big and inexhaustible.
According to Leonardo DiCaprio, mothers are walking miracles. A mother plays multiple roles in a
child development, as she is a teacher in every aspects of a child developmental growth.

In 2Timothy 1:5, Apostle Paul commended Timothy for his unfeigned faith and specifically
recognized the fact that his exploit was traced to his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice.
Mothers! We are light and how we conduct our lives affects our children and their future. The
power of a mother will enable her children to acknowledge the Father and love Jesus just as
Timothy did. A mother is a succor to all members of her family, as a wife she stands by her
husband through thick and thin, and teaches her children empathy

“The Mother and the Nation” as a theme of this year celebration, I will like to remind our mothers
here present and all over the world that a godly mother greatly influences the formation of a healthy
society and progressive nation. The importance of mothers in our society cannot be overemphasis;
therefore, a mother that will impact the nation must be full of God, fearless, believe in herself in all
aspect. She must have the pillars of character; be courageous, show kindness and go beyond her
comfort zone.

Finally, as we celebrate and pride beautifully as mothers, let this mind be in us, “mothers did not
only come to this world to push and birth babies, but to also push and birth purpose, thereby
contributing to the general growth and sanity of the nation”.

Once again, happy mother’s day!
