I. Introduction
A. Vision:
The Tarlac West Central Elementary School Library will be a leader in providing
both the best library-as-place and the best place-as-library experience for the
community.
B. Mission:
The Tarlac West Central Elementary School Library Media center is committed
to excellence: anticipating information and service needed related to the
school’s goals for research, teaching and learning, and service to our school
community and key partners. Our School Library engages in the development
of new services, and continuously strives to exceed the expectations of our
diverse user groups.
C. Objectives:
1. To use various tools to select materials that is appropriate to the curriculum
of the school.
2. To promote an appreciation of a wide variety of literature and develop a
love for reading.
3. To provide professional materials to help teachers plan lessons.
4. To maintain updates schedules/calendars to assist teachers in the use of the
library facilities and materials.
5. To introduce students and teachers to information literacy by integrating
appropriate lessons such as story elements, copyright, bibliographic formats,
internet evaluations, etc. into library lessons and workshops and
6. To include programs that will make reading fun for both students and
teachers
