Content: Verbal and Non-verbal cues


Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of
verbal and non-verbal cues in oral communication.
Performance Standard: The learner transfers learning by
distinguishing between and using literal and figurative language and
verbal and non-verbal cues.
Learning Competency: Uses verbal and non-verbal cues in a
speaking engagement: EN7F-II-a-4.

I. Lesson Objective
At the end of the lesson, the students must have:
a) defined verbal and non-verbal cues
b) identified verbal and non-verbal cues in a speaking
situation
c) used verbal and non- verbal cues in a speaking
engagement

1. Write a short story using verbal and non verbal cues.
2. Give examples of nonverbal and verbal cues. Give atleast 5
examples each.
