Annexure-B
Technical Specification for OT Light
1. The OR light must be certified and approved as surgical light and is built for challenging surgical disciplines
2. It should be US FDA and European CE certified
3. The lighting system shall be based on the latest high-performance LED technology for best possible
light specifications, high level of adaptability to individual surgical requirements and be
environmentally friendly whilst providing energy efficient illumination to the surgical workspace.
4. The light should use Cold and Warm LEDs and there not be any mixing of the multiple colour LEDs
5. Ease of maneuverability is a key factor and all joints on the lamp heads should be 360-degree
rotation with no stops
6. Lamp heads should be of aslim, aerodynamic design with smooth surfaces and a central open
channel to maximize airflow suitability and Laminar Airflow compatibility
7. The lamp head should offer a range of handles for use with the lamp like standard sterilisable handle
x 3 and Camera Handle x 3
8. Both main and satellite lamps should have minimum output of 150,000 lux and both domes should
be camera prepared
9. Illumination should be 150000lux when the light is moved anywhere between the distance of 0.8m,
1.0m & 1.3m
10. Dimming facility for 100% – 30%.
11. Depth of illumination at 60% - 1090mm and 20% - 1930mm
12. Estimated life of the LED – 50,000 hrs. or above.
13. Color temperature adjustment is required with 3500 K, 4000 K, 4500 K and 5000 K values selectable
by users and must remain constant at all dimmed levels.
14. The light should have a Shadow management system. Light measure the distance and automatic
detects any obstruction and activates and deactivates one or two light modules there by maintaining
good shadow control and maintains intensity and Light Field size.
15. Automatic focusing using the 3D sensor to provide stable light conditions with guaranteed
maintained field size, illumination within a focal depth range of 800mm/1000mm/1300mm always,
eliminating the need for any operator interaction.
16. The Surgical Light System controls should be supplied with the wall control.
17. The light should have Wireless HD Camera and both domes should be Camera prepared.
Lamp head HD Camera
Both lamp heads should be camera prepared to enable the users to swap the camera between lamp
heads if required
The camera should be placed in the centre of the dome.
Full wireless transmission should be used for full flexibility.
1080p 60hz FULL HD uncompressed signal quality
Ability to record snap shots.
Video outputs for remote viewing should be available in either DVI or 3G-SDI from the receiver
Should have minimum 5x optical zoom
