INTRODUCTION:
In the current times, the rising temperature in many areas lead to
an increase in the heat index or “feels-like temperature”. The
elevation of various effects on people’s health and well-being. In
the field of education, one aspect that may be affected by this is
the academic performance of students.
At San Miguel National High School, a primary school in the
local community, it is crucial to study the effect of high heat
index on the academic performance of senior high school
students. Understanding this effect can provide the school with
information to develop policies and programs that can help
students ensure that their studies are not affected by external
conditions such as hot weather.
In this study, the researchers aim to examine the effect of high
heat index on the academic performance of senior high school
students at San Miguel National High School.
Result and Discussion
In analyzing the data, it became evident that there is a clear
effect of high heat index on students’ academic performance. It
was found that there are lower grades and more absences on
days of high heat compared to days with lower temperature.
It was also noted that students who have access to air
conditioning or other cooling methods at their homes are less
affected by the high heat index compared to students who do not
have such access.
CONCLUSION
Based on the identified results, it is important to pay attention to
the effect of high heat index on students’ academic performance.
Implementing policies and programs in schools aimed at
protecting students from the effects of hot weather is essential to
ensure their proper learning and health.

Sa kasalukuyang panahon, and pagtaas ng temperature sa maraming lugay ay nagdudulot ng
pagtaas din ng heat index o “init na pakiramdam”. Ang pagtaas ng heat index ay maaaring
magdulot ng iba’t ibang epekto sa kasulugan ay kapakanan ng mga tao. Sa larangan ng
edukasyon, isa sa mga aspeto na maaring maapektuhan nito ay ang pagganap sa akademiko ng
mga mag-aaral.
Sa San Miguel National High School, isang pangunahing paaralan sa local na komunidad,
mahalaga ang pag-aaral ng epekto ng mataas na heat index sa pagganap sa akademiko ng mga
senir high school na mag-aaral. Ang pag-unawa sa ganitong epekto ay maaaring magbigay ng
impormasyon sa paaralan upang magkaroon ng mga polisiya at programa na makakatulong sa
mga mag-aaral na masiguring hindi naaapektuhan ang kanilang pag-aaral ng mga panlabas na
kondisyon tulad ng mainit na panahon.
Sa pag-aaral na ito, layunin ng mga mananaliksik sa suriin ang epekto ng mataass na heat index
sa pagganap sa akademiko ng mga senior high school sa San Miguel National High School.
Result and Discussion
Sa pagsusuri ng mga datos, lumabas na may malinaw na epekto ang mataas na heat index sa
pagganap sa akademiko ng mga mag-aaral. Natukoy na mas mababa ang mga marka at mas
maraming absences sa mga araw ng mataas na init kumpara sa mga araw na hindi gaanong
mainit.
Napansin din na ang mga mag aaral na may access sa air conditioning o iba pang paraan ng
pagpapalamig sa kanilang tahanan ay may kaunti ang naapektuhan ng epekto ng mataas na heat
index kumpara sa mga magaaral na hindi.
Batay sa mga natukoy na resulta, mahalaga ang pagbibigay ng pansin sa epekto ng mataas na
heatb index sa panggap sa akademiko ng mga magaaral. Ang pagpapatupad ng mgs polisiya at
programa sa paaralan na naglalayong maprotektahan ang mga polisiya at programa sa paaralan
ng naglalayong maprotektahan ang mga magaaral mula sa epekto ng mainit na panahon ay
mahalaga upang matiyak ang kanilang maayos na pagaaral at kalusugan.
