Talk to college students and find their note taking works and find
patterns

Purposes:
• A to-do list, taking notes in classes
• During meetings at work, while having a discussion about academics
• Inner thoughts, reflections, ideas, webinars online, content for blog, groceries, to do lists,
appointments, work related tasks etc
• Classes or to start the day- to do list.
• Does it for for 3 things: Lectures, Studying and [Link] also uses to track tasks and
to-dos
• To write down lyrics of a song, screenplay and for post-production works

Handwritten vs Digital Notes

• Prefers pen and paper just because it creates a visual memory better in my head for more
effective retention.
• Prefers Handwritten, as you naturally need more concentration while writing down
something than typing it out
• Prefers Handwritten when I need to plan for the exam. But depends high on digital notes
these days, since it’s easy to edit and save.
• If there is a lot of math involved or I'm taking notes to help me remember things, prefer
handwritten notes. Otherwise, digital.

• Fold the paper in 4 and write only the important points in a topic
• Bullet points
• Taking notes based on the previous year’s question of that particular exam.
• Subheadings and abbreviations to remember the key points

• Want it in such a way that it's easy to organize. Whatever topic to review should be easily
searchable
• Would love a more affordable and minimalist version
• Different templates for taking notes and the option of including videos along with the notes
too
• Making it as close to a tradition writing experience.
• Better storage management

• Speech to Text mode to take notes
• An inbuilt web feature to search for other info without having to switch apps.
• Allow for multiple fonts and styles to make it more visually interesting so the brain can
remember easily
• Should replicate the feeling of writing on paper
