At the beginning of the semester, I wanted to learn about how to better manage employees in a
management role using HR techniques. I want to learn to use HRM to ensure my safety and
success in the workplace. I was excited to learn techniques and theories. I expected to discover

expectations. These included things like Job analysis, Recruitment, compensation, training and
the law. By comparing my expectations or the actual outcomes, I can see the depth of knowledge
I have gained and the relevance of the course to my future career.
