Windows
1. Open Excel:
o Launch Microsoft Excel on your Windows PC.
2. Go to Options:
o Click on File in the top-left corner.
o Select Options from the menu.
3. Access Add-ins:
o In the Excel Options window, click on Add-ins in the left-hand menu.
4. Manage Add-ins:
o At the bottom of the window, you’ll see a dropdown next to Manage.
Ensure it says Excel Add-ins and click Go.
5. Enable Solver:
o In the Add-Ins dialog box, check the box next to Solver Add-in.
o Click OK.
6. Find Solver in Excel:
o Once enabled, go to the Data tab on the ribbon.
o You’ll find Solver in the Analyze group.
MacBook
1. Open Excel:
o Start Microsoft Excel on your Mac.
2. Access Add-ins:
o Click on Tools in the top menu bar.
o Select Add-ins from the dropdown menu.
3. Enable Solver:
o In the Add-Ins window, check the box next to Solver Add-in.
o Click OK.
4. Find Solver in Excel:
o Go to the Data tab in the ribbon.
o You’ll see Solver in the Analysis section.
Tip: If Solver doesn’t appear after enabling:
o Restart Excel.
o Check for updates to ensure you’re using the latest version of
Microsoft Excel.
