Unit 1 Final Assessment: (AOL)

Using the elements and principles of art as well as the creative process, you will
create an artwork that represents the 4 different areas of the arts, ART, MUSIC, DRAMA
and DANCE. Be creative and come up with a way to represent these 4 arts in a unique
way, consider how they will be connected and how they will look together.

Please follow the steps of the creative process to help guide you through your piece

1. Imaging and Generating

● Start with an idea, use these questions to help you reflect and generate
potential ideas for your project. Ask yourself questions to help.

What is art, Music, drama, and dance?

Art is the way of expressing things, emotions, ideas, culture, and experiences, etc.,
whereas music is a sound (instrumental or vocal or both) to represent beauty of form,
harmony, expressions of emotions. Drama is representation of actions, emotions on
stage or Infront of audience, and dance is the art of body movement to entertain
audience.
What images do you see when you are confronted with each subject?
How can you connect them? ect….
When working with art, we usually see paint brushes, colour palette, or abstract shapes.
In music, musical instruments and sound waves, in drama audience, stage, expressions,
and working with dance we usually see different actions, pay off of dancers.

● Research: Find one or more artists working in the same style as you and use
them as reference for your work.
Wassily Kandinsky

2. Planning and Focusing

● Create 3-5 sketches and rough outlines of your work and what you intend your
work to look like. they do not have to be fully finished just ROUGH ideas..
please save them and take a picture of these for marking.
3. Exploring and Experimenting
● Experiment with your chosen medium and form? How will you best display
your pieces?
My selected image to work is following one..
I do experiments on it while making it colorful. In the image I drawn, there are
a round wheel-like shape representing art, drama, dance and music into four
separate sections.
● What materials would best suit your project? Using any medium you think
would best suit your project, get approval for ones not listed in the slide
show.
I think painting will be good, using water colors, or pencil, marker colors suits this

4. Producing, Revising and Refining

● Your piece must be well prepared, use all the elements and principles you can
think of and try not to leave any blank spaces
(aside from visual effects) sure

5. Presenting and Performing

● Hand in your work - Take a picture of your completed work and make sure it is
clear and easy to view.
6. Reflecting and Evaluating

● You will also be marked on the presentation of your work, as well as your
reflection and how you answered the questions. Please answer in full
sentences and provide detail for each question.

Critical analysis (Reflection)

1. Describe your piece, what did you choose to do and represent in each section
and why? (8)
There are four sections in my piece of work representing, art, drama, music and dance. I
draw this project where in one of the section art represents the instruments of art, some
art work, nature art drawings, and a color palette, using different colors. In the section of
drama, I try to express it in different emotions, using emojis, I draw the "action" button
to represent drama and a curtain representing a stage.
In the section of music, I draw piano, guitar, frequency, musical sounds and use different
symbols to represent the tone of music, and at last in the section of dance, I try to show
dancing ladies, with musical symbols, showing the relation of dance and music.
2. What medium did you Choose to present your piece and why? (2)
The medium I used is paper with instruments like, pencil, color markers, and color
pencils. I use this medium because I think I should represent all of the themes of art,
music, drama, and dance in one project but on paper pencil.
3. What challenges did you come across while making your piece and how did you
solve them? (2)
The challenges I made is that it takes a lot of my time in analytical thinkings, which I
resolve by sitting alone in a garden (peaceful place) and think a little bit about it that how
I would represent this project, also I took ideas from peoples near me, and this is how I
resolve this.
4. What skills/ techniques are present within your work? (Using the elements and
principles of design) describe at least 4 and explain how they are working within
your art. (5)
Line: in drawing Piano, amplitude of music etc
Shape: in drawing guitar, palette, emojis in drama section etc
Value: in drawing hairs of dancing girl,
Color: in color palette, in art section, painting brushes, etc
5. What is successful in your painting? (4)
I think I put my all efforts, most successful is the art section and dance section, and
musical shapes
6. What could you improve upon? (4)
I have to improve upon my drawing sense of drama section, to learn more about it, and
it's art. And the sections of wheel are not balanced so I should have work more on the
alignment, or balancing.

Please create a google doc and answer each of these questions in full sentences.
