Request for Information on Budgetary Disclosure Compliance
Dear Honourable Minister,
We are writing to you as students of Baze University, working under the Ethics Law Clinic, an
academic initiative dedicated to fostering transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.
As part of our ongoing research, we are examining the level of compliance with budgetary
disclosure requirements in public institutions, particularly within the education sector. To this
end, we kindly request your assistance in providing information that will enhance our
understanding of the Ministry’s efforts in this area.
Specifically, we would appreciate it if you could provide any records or reports detailing
instances of non-compliance with budgetary disclosure obligations by agencies under the
Ministry’s oversight and an overview of measures currently in place to promote adherence to
budgetary disclosure standards. Proposed steps or recommendations aimed at strengthening
transparency and accountability in financial reporting within the Ministry.
The information you provide will be used strictly for academic purposes and handled in
accordance with applicable legal and ethical guidelines.We would be grateful if you could
respond within seven (7) working days, as prescribed in section 4 of the freedom of information
act 2011 which states that “were information is applied for a public institution to which the
application is made shall within 7 days after the application received make the information
available to the applicant ”.
