Symptom
You are installing/uninstalling SAP Business One, version for MSSQL Server Tools and you encounter an
error.
Reproducing the issue
Scenario:
Run the installation/uninstallation of SAP Business One Server Tools.
Actual behavior:
SAP Business One Server Tools installation/uninstallation fails with errors.
Cause

Solution
Workaround:
To reduce downtime for the customer, we recommend performing a forced uninstallation and then a clean
installation. Follow the steps below:
1. Clean up the old installation:
• Uninstall SAP Business One ServerTools via Add/Remove programs (Control Panel → search for SAP
Business One ServerTools → Uninstall).
• In case it does not exist, manually force the uninstallation of the component by running [Link] as
Administrator:
• [Link] /x {"ProductCode"}
• You can find the correct product code of the component in the [Link] file in the upgrade package (
Packages → ServerTools → [Link] file).
• Take a backup of the [Link] via MSSQL Server Management Studio and then
delete it.
• Rename the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools.
• Back up the registry before executing the next step.
• Clean the registry by going into [Link] and searching for "ProductCode" (Packages → Server Tools →

• Reboot the machine.
2. New installation:
a. Pause or stop any active Antivirus software.
b. Start the SAP Business One Server Tools installation from SAP Business One Setup files →
Packages → Server Tools → [Link]. Run [Link] as Administrator.
Keep in mind the following before starting a new installation:
• When defining the B1SiteUser password, do not use any special characters, as listed in SAP Note
2330114 - B1SiteUser password with special characters leads to component installation failure.
• Refer to SAP Note 2760843 - Install and Upgrade of Server Tools Fails When Site User Password
Contains Special Character ' ' (space).
• Refer to SAP Note 2716301 - Upgrade of SAP Business One Fails with Error.
• Please note the system behavior after SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2111. Refer to SAP Note 3063691 -
Installation of the 64-bit Server Tools Components: System Landscape Directory, License Service, Job
Service, Work Flow, DI Server.
The applications are 64 bits. The installation folder Packages.x64\Server Tools\ does not exist. The
server tools components are installed from Packages.x64\ComponentsWizard.
For SAP Business One version 10 FP2111 and later:
Clean up the old installation:
• Uninstall SAP Business One Components Wizard via Add/Remove programs (Control Panel → search
for SAP Business One Components Wizard → Uninstall).
• Rename the folder SAP Business One Servertools from "C:\Program Files\SAP".
• To unregister or performing a clean uninstall the SAP Business One Servertools setup, select each
component under \\..\\B1100_PL2111\Packages.x64\ComponentsWizard\MSI, right click and select
Uninstall.
• Reboot the machine.
New installation:
• Temporarily disable any antivirus, firewall or proxy enabled on the server machine.
• Navigate to the installation folder \\..\\B1100_PL2111\Packages.x64\ComponentsWizard.
• Right click on Install and run the setup with Run as administrator.

1. If you are still facing an issue after the above steps, create an SAP Business One support incident from
the SAP Launchpad under the component SBO-BC-SRV.
2. Attach the following logs to the SAP Business One Support incident: C:\Windows\SAP Business One
