Schools should choose students according to:
Their academic abilities:
Students study in a compatible environment:
Higher level students will study in a competitive environment -> they can develop
their potential to the fullest.
Lower level students will build more confidence -> have more opportunities to raise
questions and comprehend knowledge at a more appropriate speed.
Teachers can prepare better lesson plans regarding students’ academic abilities.

II. Ads and disads:
Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary
schools rather than secondary schools. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
Advantages:
Prepare a long time learning language for children -> light amount of information each
lesson -> easier for children to understand
Help children to master their language skills from the early age
Disadvantages:
Cause stress for children because of too many things to learn
Sometimes it leads to mixed language
blank page (phr.)
=> they have the ability to acquire new languages faster.
- children are more likely to learn new things with more enthusiasm and progress.
(shorter lesson, game, interactive activities)
- they are still in the process of learning their mother tongue
=> language confusion
- If the teachers are not trained properly or the teaching methods are not appropriate => affect
the process of language learning in later life.
It is claimed that students should begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than
secondary school. In my opinion, I firmly believe that learning at an earlier age can bring both
advantages and disadvantages, as now will be discussed.
On the one hand, there are several drawbacks of the idea of providing foreign language lessons
for primary students (Ít ý hơn). At the age of primary school which is around 6 to 10, students
are still in the process of learning their mother tongue so learning a new language can lead to
language confusion. Also in several cases, if language teachers are not trained properly or
parents’ teaching methods are not appropriate, the process of language learning will be affected
adversely in later life.
On the other hand, learning foreign languages in primary school helps children to master their
language skills from an early age (nhiều ý hơn). Students at this age are like blank pages and thus
they have the ability to acquire new languages faster. Research has proven that most children are
more likely to learn new things with more enthusiasm and progress than teenagers or adults.
Therefore, it would be useful if school can help children to receive knowledge through
interactive activities such as games or team work. Furthermore, starting to study foreign
languages at a young age gives children a longer time to learn, so students can absorb knowledge
more effectively.
In conclusion, teaching children foreign languages from an early age has both advantages and
disadvantages. However, I believe the benefits outnumber the drawbacks.

Practice: In some countries, governments are encouraging industries and businesses to move to
regional areas outside the big cities.
Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?
Advantages:
Industries and businesses have more space to run their chain without bothering the
household area.
The estate price is cheaper -> businesses can lower their budget.
Help the country develop in all area
Alleviate the problem of pollution and solve the issue of overpopulation
The location where businesses and industries move to will develop: increases living
standard, more up-to-date infrastructure, amenities,...
More job opportunities for the locals.
Disadvantages:
Employees who live in the city have to travel a longer way to work or relocate their
family to other places.
If the local areas develop at a very fast pace, there will be more social problems,
especially social security. (standard of living/ cost of living increases and not everyone
can afford/ adapt => commit crimes …)
