PICTURE COMPOSITION
Pictures stimulate our thought and motivate us to express our views and ideas on what we
see. It is a writing skill where we furnish an appropriate caption for the picture shown and
compose a short composition on it. Sometimes, while describing the picture, we go beyond the
picture and write a short essay or story.
There are four ways to begin the story:
1. By describing the character
2. By describing the setting
3. By beginning with an action
4. By beginning with a speech or dialogues
STEPS FOR WRITING EFFECTIVE PICTURE COMPOSITION

3. Plan Your Composition:

Body: What happened? What was the problem?
Ending : How was the problem solved? What happened in the end?
4. Write Your Composition:

composition is about.
Setting: Introduce the characters of your composition here.
5. Check Your Composition: Read your composition and check for mistakes in Spelling
and Punctuation marks such as commas, full stops, capital letters, etc.
6. Use simple sentences and words.

‘A Morning Walk’
A morning walk is good for health. The morning breeze refreshes our whole body. We also find
nature at its purest form, free from dust and pollution. The rays of the sun bring new hopes
for the day. Walking has a lot of benefits. It energizes our mind and body. The early hours in
the morning give us fresh oxygen and quality time to spend amidst nature. Now-a-days, people
are aware of the benefits of morning walk. More and more people come out in the morning to
enjoy the sights and smells of green parks. Here in this picture, a grandpa is seen with his
grand kid and his pet dog. I am sure the morning walk gives them time for bonding too. We
must always go on a morning walk for physical and mental fitness.
