For FAS/FMS: ALG 1-A and ALG 1-B count for 0.5 credits

For GSV:ALG 1-A and ALG 1-B count for 1.0 credit each.
If you are pursuing FAS/FMS bright futures and took
Algebra 1A, you will likely need to take an additional math
course.

Community Service/ Work Hours
• Hours can be earned from the Summer after completion of 8th grade
until graduation day Senior Year. (Can change yearly with legislation)
• Each district determines approved activities and the process for
documentation of volunteer service or paid work hours including the
deadline by which it must be completed.
• Confirm with counselor PRIOR to doing service hours for
confirmation if uncertain
• Hours can and SHOULD be turned in as they are earned. It is not
encouraged to wait until Senior year.
• Service Hours over 50 hours MUST be accompanied by letterhead
from the Non-profit confirming hours completed.
• Performances/Art exhibits can count for community service IF
participation is not tied to a grade or compensated.
• Partial rehearsal hours may be counted; performance hours may
be matched with the same number of rehearsal hours.
• Ex. 2 hour performance gets 4 hours of community service
(2 hours for performance and 2 hours for rehearsal).
