about‌‌the‌‌rebellious‌‌organizations‌‌that‌‌contribute‌‌to‌‌this‌‌
worldwide‌‌issue.‌‌This‌‌issue‌‌is‌‌a‌‌major‌‌problem‌‌in‌‌the‌‌middle‌‌
eastern‌‌countries‌‌but‌‌is‌‌also‌‌being‌‌made‌‌a‌‌huge‌‌problem‌‌
around‌‌the‌‌world.‌‌ ‌
‌ As‌‌a‌‌student‌‌of‌‌English,‌‌my‌‌intentions‌‌are‌‌to‌‌improve‌‌my‌‌
writing‌‌and‌‌reading‌‌comprehension‌‌skills‌‌by‌‌researching‌‌and‌‌

REFLECTION‌‌1‌ ‌

The‌‌first‌‌artifact‌‌is‌‌a‌‌poem‌‌entitled‌‌‘VOICE’‌‌speaks‌‌about‌‌
how‌‌people‌‌in‌‌countries‌‌that‌‌don’t‌‌have‌‌a‌‌huge‌‌terrorism‌‌
problems‌‌has‌‌it‌‌very‌‌much‌‌easier‌‌than‌‌those‌‌others‌‌with‌‌a‌‌
terrorist‌‌issue‌‌because‌‌while‌‌they‌‌are‌‌doing‌‌daily‌‌things‌‌there‌‌are‌‌
terrorists‌‌attacks‌‌which‌‌doesn’t‌‌allow‌‌them‌‌to‌‌live‌‌as‌‌normal‌‌as‌‌
those‌‌others‌‌because‌‌they‌‌are‌‌always‌‌haven’t‌‌to‌‌brace‌‌themselves‌‌
having‌‌to‌‌think‌‌about‌‌what‌‌is‌‌going‌‌to‌‌happen‌‌when‌‌they‌‌go‌
here‌‌or‌‌there.‌ ‌

The‌‌second‌‌artifact‌‌is‌‌a‌‌song‌‌entitled‌‌‘NO‌‌REVENGE’‌‌by‌‌
OOD.‌‌In‌‌the‌‌song‌‌he‌‌is‌‌trying‌‌to‌‌tell‌‌us‌‌that‌‌revenge‌‌is‌‌causing‌‌a‌‌
lot‌‌of‌‌unnecessary‌‌deaths,‌‌also‌‌saying‌‌that‌‌desperation‌‌is‌‌the‌‌
reason‌‌for‌‌committing‌‌crimes.‌‌He‌‌is‌‌trying‌‌to‌‌spread‌‌a‌‌message‌‌
to‌‌us‌‌by‌‌telling‌‌us‌‌that‌‌for‌‌us‌‌to‌‌have‌‌peace‌‌among‌‌ourselves‌‌
revenge‌‌killing‌‌should‌‌stop.‌ ‌

The‌‌third‌‌artifact‌‌is‌‌an‌‌article‌‌entitled‌‌‘FIGHTING‌‌
TERRORISM’‌‌it‌‌contains‌‌informatin‌‌about‌‌when‌‌the‌‌terrorsim‌‌
started‌‌etc.‌‌Places‌‌where‌‌attacks‌‌frequently‌‌happen‌‌also‌‌are‌‌
mentioned‌‌in‌‌the‌‌article.‌‌It‌‌is‌‌also‌‌speaking‌‌about‌‌how‌‌they‌‌may‌‌
prevent‌‌terrorism‌‌and‌‌lessen‌‌the‌‌hate‌‌crimes‌‌among‌‌citizens.‌ ‌

REFLECTION‌‌2‌ ‌

The‌‌language‌‌strategy‌‌utilized‌‌in‌‌the‌‌poem‌‌"Voice"‌‌was‌‌
repetition.‌‌"So‌‌let's‌‌rush,‌‌let's‌‌run,‌‌let's‌‌get‌‌organized,‌‌let's‌‌finish,‌‌
let's‌‌do‌‌as‌‌much‌‌as‌‌we‌‌can,"‌‌is‌‌an‌‌example‌‌of‌‌this‌‌technique‌‌.‌‌The‌‌
writer‌‌also‌‌used‌‌the‌‌term‌‌“while”‌‌several‌‌times‌‌to‌‌emphasize‌‌how‌‌
frequently‌‌terrorist‌‌strikes‌‌occur.‌‌The‌‌author’s‌‌intentions‌‌in‌‌this‌‌
artifact‌‌were‌‌to‌‌structure‌‌the‌‌poem‌‌in‌‌such‌‌a‌‌way‌‌that‌‌the‌‌
intentions‌‌of‌‌terrorist‌‌attacking‌‌are‌‌not‌‌of‌‌concern.‌ ‌

In‌‌the‌‌song‌ ‌“No‌‌Revenge”‌‌by‌‌Ood‌‌the‌‌singer‌‌talks‌‌about‌ ‌
how‌N
‌ o‌‌revenge‌‌is‌‌the‌ ‌solution‌‌for‌‌peace‌‌on‌‌earth.‌‌The‌‌language‌‌
technique‌‌used‌‌in‌‌this‌‌song‌‌was‌‌an‌‌Allegory.‌‌An‌‌example‌‌of‌‌this‌‌
was‌“‌ We‌‌have‌‌all‌‌been‌‌created,‌‌but‌‌we‌‌create‌‌the‌‌world”.‌‌This‌‌
artist's‌‌usage‌‌of‌‌this‌‌technique‌‌was‌‌very‌‌effective‌ ‌ ‌

REFLECTION‌‌3‌ ‌

On‌‌completing‌‌this‌‌English‌‌SBA‌‌the‌‌language‌‌used‌‌was‌‌
formal‌‌and‌‌it‌‌was‌‌written‌‌in‌‌such‌‌a‌‌way‌‌that‌‌it‌‌is‌‌easily‌‌
understood.‌‌This‌‌was‌‌very‌‌helpful‌‌for‌‌me‌‌because‌‌it‌‌made‌‌me‌‌
understand‌‌more‌‌about‌‌terrorism.‌‌Throughout‌‌the‌‌completion‌‌of‌‌
this‌‌SBA,‌‌I’ve‌‌learnt‌‌the‌‌value‌‌of‌‌teamwork‌‌and‌‌how‌‌to‌‌work‌‌
together‌‌to‌‌accomplish‌‌our‌‌goals‌‌as‌‌a‌‌group.‌‌In‌‌doing‌‌this‌‌I‌‌
realized‌‌that‌‌it‌‌makes‌‌life‌‌way‌‌easier‌‌by‌‌helping‌‌each‌‌other‌‌out‌‌in‌‌
areas‌‌where‌‌we‌‌don't‌‌understand.‌‌This‌‌SBA‌‌also‌‌benefited‌‌me‌‌
mentally‌‌it‌‌showed‌‌me‌‌to‌‌never‌‌give‌‌up‌‌after‌‌failure,‌‌but‌‌to‌‌work‌‌
harder‌‌and‌‌the‌‌results‌‌would‌‌improve‌‌step‌‌by‌‌step‌‌until‌‌success.‌ ‌

The‌‌subtopics‌‌our‌‌group‌‌members‌‌chose‌‌were‌‌Gang‌‌Warfare,‌‌
Human‌‌Trafficking,‌‌Theft,‌‌Murder,‌‌Drug‌‌Trafficking‌‌and‌‌
Terrorism.‌ ‌It‌‌was‌‌easy‌‌to‌‌find‌‌artifacts/pieces‌‌because‌‌the‌‌topics‌‌
we‌‌were‌‌investigating‌‌were‌‌well‌‌known‌‌and‌‌we‌‌already‌‌had‌‌some‌‌
understanding‌‌of‌‌them.‌ ‌

The‌‌group‌‌has‌‌18‌‌articles/pieces.‌ ‌

Our‌‌group‌‌decided‌‌what‌‌articles‌‌we‌‌were‌‌going‌‌to‌‌use‌‌because‌‌we‌‌
could‌‌relate‌‌to‌‌each‌‌one‌‌of‌‌them‌‌in‌‌some‌‌way‌‌or‌‌form.‌ ‌

save‌‌them.‌‌In‌‌the‌‌second‌‌piece‌‌Industrial‌‌Vehicle‌‌Theft‌‌
Crackdown,‌‌we‌‌learned‌‌that‌‌there‌‌are‌‌other‌‌wider‌‌rangers‌‌of‌‌
theft,‌‌not‌‌just‌‌petty‌‌theft‌‌and‌‌that‌‌not‌‌only‌‌do‌‌the‌‌victims‌‌of‌‌the‌‌
crime‌‌are‌‌affected‌‌but‌‌also‌‌the‌‌police.‌ ‌

The‌‌major‌‌issue‌‌in‌‌the‌‌first‌‌piece‌‌was‌‌the‌‌victims‌‌of‌‌Human‌‌
Trafficking‌‌and‌‌how‌‌they‌‌dealt‌‌with‌‌what‌‌they‌‌went‌‌through.‌‌
The‌‌major‌‌issue‌‌in‌‌the‌‌second‌‌piece‌‌was‌‌the‌‌police‌‌investigating‌‌a‌‌
major‌‌car‌‌theft‌‌investigation.‌ ‌

The‌‌major‌‌issue‌‌in‌‌the‌‌third‌‌piece‌‌was‌‌the‌‌huge‌‌impact‌‌that‌‌gang‌‌
warfare‌‌and‌‌crime‌‌have‌‌on‌‌the‌‌community.‌ ‌

‌When‌‌doing‌‌this‌‌research‌‌I‌‌collected‌‌data‌‌using‌‌the‌‌internet.‌‌I‌‌
am‌‌happy‌‌with‌‌the‌‌pieces‌‌I‌‌have‌‌gathered‌‌and‌‌I‌‌have‌‌been‌‌happy‌‌
working‌‌in‌‌a‌‌group.‌‌I‌‌learnt‌‌that‌‌human‌‌trafficking‌‌is‌‌a‌‌ ‌
serious‌‌crime‌‌that‌‌should‌‌be‌‌taken‌‌more‌‌seriously‌‌and‌‌how‌‌the‌‌
processes‌‌of‌‌it‌‌happen.‌ ‌
