Filling in your Python Resource Bank

Take a copy of the Powerpoint stored here:

W:\Public\ICT & Computing\Computer Science GCSE\03 Programming Project\ Python

Resource Bank – [Link]

Save it to your H: drive.

This will be your bank of resources for all the Python work we have completed so far.

I have added titles for quite a few topics we have looked at, but you may have other snippets and
examples that you want to add to refer to later. Just create new slides with you example code on
it.

Spend the lesson looking at old copies of Python files that you have made – either stored as .py
files on their Home drives (or there are some in Shared) or in the classroom [Link] that
you can copy and paste the code into the Powerpoint ready to be referenced later.

Please check the code works before you add it to your Powerpoint (error ridden code won’t help
you later!)

Feel free to 'magpie' other people’s code (with their permission) – or borrow bits from
Powerpoints on the Shared drive, or working snippets form reputable websites.

The key thing is that you understand each of the snippets (don’t just copy a whole block
of code if you don’t really know what it is doing!)

This is a work in progress and I want you to add to this over the coming terms. This will be a
really useful resource for you when it comes to the Controlled Assessment in September.
