resilience and strength to continue each day despite all the challenges we have
faced, for the guidance and enlightenment to continue the study.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Andrei Isagani S. Bana, the
research adviser and instructor, for his tolerance, encouragement, and
willingness to share his knowledge in the research field with us as we carried
out our study. We are all more responsible and committed to completing this
course thanks to your coaching.
To Mr. John Arnel P. Sevilla, who generously shared his knowledge and
offered to assist us when we encountered difficulties pursuing this project. To

ABSTRACT

This study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of reinforcements

towards employee productivity. Seven departments from Misamis Oriental

Institute of Science and Technology (MOIST) in the college's department

teaching personnel were selected using the cluster sampling technique. This

study employed a correlational research design. Frequency distribution, average

mean and standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to

assess the effectiveness levels of reinforcements towards employee

productivity. The study revealed that the teaching personnel of the college

department at Misamis Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (MOIST),

Balingasag Misamis Oriental, are more productive in terms of the effectiveness

of positive reinforcement. In addition, positive reinforcement has a significant

relationship with employee productivity, which implies that reward approaches

help improve efficiency, work quality, and the systematized work of employees.

Furthermore, the study also revealed that there is no significant relationship

between negative reinforcement and employee productivity, which implies that

solely relying on negative approaches is not effective. Thus, the study

recommended that positive reinforcement, which involves giving rewards, is

effective and should be continued as a motivational approach. Also, negative

approaches should not only be the basis for increasing employee productivity

but also develop other motivational factors that can foster high levels of

productivity.
