Course Credit: 6 Units, 3 hr/Week (18 weeks, 54 hr in total for Lecture) and 30-40 hr/Week for
Laboratory

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (from CMO No.75, s. 2017, p.3 and 5):


1. Acquire requisite knowledge and skills relevant to the field.
2. Demonstrate basic and higher levels of thinking skills in planning, assessing, and reporting.
3. Demonstrate innovation, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
4. Apply concepts and theories learned in the specific discipline.
5. Effectively communicate in written, oral, and graphical form about specific issues and formulate
well-organized written arguments that state assumptions and hypotheses supported by evidence.
6. Manifest transformative research skills toward identifying innovative solutions to existing and new
problems.
7. Discovery and creation of new knowledge for effective decision-making.
8. Create and organize extension programs that will address sustainable livelihood and community
development.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course is a year-long engagement that supports authentic experiential learning from field study to
actual classroom immersion for prospective teachers. It begins with field study experiences through (a)
observation and (b) participation and will progress to (c) teaching assistantship and (d) guided mentored
classroom teaching. The PPST domains shall be used as guideposts in developing the content, pedagogy,
and course implementation.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of the course, the students would be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of learning environments that promote fairness, respect, and care
to encourage learning.
2. Demonstrate content knowledge and its application within/ and across curriculum teaching areas.
3. Employ a wide variety of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific
learners and their environments.
4. Design instructional plans and various modes of assessment aligned with learning outcomes.
5. Create and use a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning
goals.
6. Demonstrate various thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and reporting learning
processes and outcomes.
7. Demonstrate behaviors that uphold the dignity of the teaching profession by exhibiting qualities
such as a caring attitude, respect, and integrity.
8. Demonstrate motivation to realize professional development goals based on the Philippine
professional standards for teachers.

1. Attendance and Participation: Consistent attendance is required for success in this subject, as

• Course requirements should be submitted as scheduled.

3. Academic Honesty: Cheating will not be tolerated. Students found to violate this policy will be sent
to the Office of the Guidance Counselor after several warnings.
4. Tardiness: Students must arrive on time before class starts.
5. Uniform: Students are expected to attend classes wearing the prescribed uniform.
