A Simple Gift for the Learners of Lucapon South Elementary School"
Amid the joyous celebration of Christmas, a special event brought smiles and inspiration to the
students of Lucapon South Elementary School. Fifty Learner from the school became recipients
of thoughtful gifts from SCA BEST, an organization renowned for its compassion and support
for children’s education.
The gift distribution took place a few days before the school’s Christmas Party, held at the
vibrant Lucapon South barangay plaza, adorned with colorful decorations, music, and cheer.
Each pupil waited with eager anticipation for their little surprise. As they unwrapped their gifts,
the joy and excitement on their faces were undeniable.
SCA BEST also offered a modest holiday treat for the students' families. Each family received
ingredients to prepare spaghetti, a classic Christmas dish symbolizing sharing and celebration.
For Jillian, a Grade 4 pupil, the spaghetti pack she received was more than just a simple gift. "I'm
happy because we can cook spaghetti for Christmas. Thank you so much," she said with a smile
on her face.
Another recipient, Jeffrey, a Grade 3 pupil, shared, "This is a big help for us. Now we have
something to prepare for Christmas." Their stories illustrate how even simple gifts can have a
significant impact on their families.
According to SCA BEST, this activity is part of their annual program aimed at bringing joy and
support to children in need. “We believe Christmas is a time for giving, and we want to be part
of creating happier memories for these kids,” said a representative from SCA BEST.
The gratitude of Lucapon South Elementary School’s administration was equally heartfelt.
According to Mrs. Joann Medrana, the school principal, “Your assistance means so much. You
have not only shared gifts and food but also hope and inspiration for our students. Thank you for
your compassion.”
Indeed, the spirit of Christmas was once again felt through this simple yet meaningful event.
Despite life’s challenges, the students of Lucapon South Elementary School were given the
opportunity to feel valued and cherished.
At the end of the day, their smiles proved that the true essence of Christmas is not measured by
the size or cost of the gifts but by the love and care that accompany them. The spaghetti and
small gifts became not only symbols of the holiday season but also a reminder that Christmas is a
time for giving and unity.
