Road Map For RoboCup 2D Soccer (RCSS)

Project Overview
• Objective: Pass and Defense
• Base Code:
PASS STRATEGY:
For this particular fraction, we will be making use of the Delaunay Triangulation Method.
This will link the players through forming triangles and create a passing formation, then using A*
we will find the optimal series of passes necessary for scoring.

The G-cost will be referred as the distance between the goal and the player that we intend to pass
and H-cost will be the probability of opponent intercepting the pass.

DEFENCE STRATEGY:
When the attacker of opponent team has entered our defence zone then one of our defenders
will go to the goal and act as a buddy to the goalkeeper. |Then both buddy and keeper will find the
possible areas where the opponent will most probably shoot and then the goalkeeper will cover the
most of these areas while buddy will cover the lesser area. In case of opponent coming from the
corner then the goalkeeper will cover the pole where as the buddy will cover all the goal .

Other players on the defence zone will cover the other opponent players and stop them from getting
a pass.They will do this by standing infront of them and blocking the view of opponent.

Offensive Strategy:
When we enter the D of the opponent, we will only consider the shoot, and find the
maximum open side of the goal by a little brute force and directly shoot it.
We will make use of a Behind score factor, which means that if our score is less than the
opponents and the time remaining is less the probability of shooting will be increased.
