CHILDREN’S DAY in

Every year, 5th May in Japan is Children’s Day! It is a day when people

celebrate that each child is special. It is traditional on Children’s Day for

families to fly 1) ____________ outside their houses for good

luck. The flags are in the shape of a 2) ____________ and there

Different countries celebrate Children’s Day on different dates, but many
countries celebrate it on 20th November. On Children’s Day we show that
we respect the rights of children, and look at ways of making the world a
safe and happy place for them to grow up in!
